“There you are, Thistle. We’be been wondering where you ran off to.”
Thistle turned around and watched as Mitchell trotted up to her and sat down next to her on the balcony, underneath the glistening moonlight. “Is something the matter…?”
The pink changeling glanced over. “With what, me? Oh no, nothing’s really… wrong, per say. I mean…” she sighed heavily.
“Are you not happy…? You know, that Midnight’s back?”
“Of course I am! There’s nothing else I ever really wanted than to see her again! It’s just…” Thistle hung her head in dead silence for a few moments. “I’m… I’m confused.”
“About what? Tell me.”
“Well… if she was alive all this time… where has she been? And why couldn’t she stay with us…?”
