Merry Christmas! · 9:50pm Dec 25th, 2021
Greetings, everyone! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day with friends and family! And if you’re alone, don’t be sad, we’re all here with you in spirit.
Well, it’s been another year of uncertainty and chaos, and we don’t know what the future holds, but even as the end of the year dawns, we can take times like these to reflect and to reassure each other that next year can and WILL be better. Many of us have lost friends, family, and other loved ones through various unfortunate circumstances this year, and while I can pray that won’t happen again next year, my heart knows that it will.
But that doesn’t mean we can’t come together in peace and forge a new future, one where new friendships and harmony will reign supreme. A future where we are stronger in spirit and wiser in heart. A future where we can begin fixing the mistakes of the past, and creating an even grander tomorrow for our children and their children.
After all, is that not part of what Christmas is about? Giving gifts from the heart and coming together to restore a little bit of happiness in the world? This year, I say it’s time we gave ourselves a gift: the gift of hope, so that next year will be better than the last. We’ve lost so much of it, and that’s a horrible thing. It’s now a small ember, so precious and so tiny compared to the troubles and darkness of the world, but where there is still hope, there is still light, and darkness will always fall away when light shines upon it. Let’s work to make that little ember grow into a flame, and the flame into a bonfire.
As for me, I will continue doing what I always do: smiling, helping others, listening to what people need to say, and doing good both by others and by God. I urge you all to do the same whenever you can. Every little bit of good you do will bring just a little more hope and happiness into this world, and people will remember your kindness.
May your burdens be lighter, may your days be brighter, may your dreams be filled with joy, and may your lives be filled with hope. God bless you all.
In other news, I am now done with my Christmas break. After deciding to step away from serious writing for a couple weeks so that I could refresh my mind, I’m going back in. You can hopefully expect a new chapter for Dawn of a New Age very soon, and it’s gonna be a whopper, with lots of Changeling lore.
That’s not to say I haven’t done any writing at all. In fact, for a Discord Secret Santa the other day, I wrote a short and silly story involving everyone’s favorite mischievous duo, Starlight and Trixie. It isn’t much, but it’s a fun little romp, and I hope you will enjoy it.
Have a Merry Christmas, a happy New Year, and a great weekend!
