Nothing this year, sorry · 1:31am Dec 25th, 2021
Man, this has been… a year. Shortly after my last blog post, I had some (non-covid) medical issues that somewhat took over my life for a while, and while that's all in the past now, I'm only back where I was beforehand—completely unproductive. I was determined to get back into things at NaNoWriMo, but work steamrolled those plans and I just haven't been able to find the words to write something for the usual Christmas chapter. Honestly, I couldn't even read through Sharing the Nation in preparation of continuing it. I might have to rewrite it if I'm ever going to finish it. I have noticed that all three of my stories have somewhat the same problem in that they all have Twilight as a protagonist when she's no longer actually the one undergoing much character growth. Food for thought.
Well, anyway, Merry Christmas, everybody. Hopefully next year will be more productive.
Sorry.
I'm just glad you're still around and at least interested in writing more, even if the actual execution of your plans isn't coming together. Seems like all too many of the authors I follow here are either on some indefinite hiatus or (worse yet) just gone entirely.
I'm hoping that you won't have to go through a major rewrite of Sharing the Nation, given that (in my opinion anyway) it's damn near perfect in it's story arch. I hope you can get back in to the swing of things in your own time without feeling that you have to rush anything!
I wish you a Merry Christmas and an Uneventful New Year.
Keep on, keeping on.
Good to hear from you again regardless! Happy holidays and may you have a better 2022.
I'm always glad to see you're still here. Another year behind us, but I can barely remember it from the same kind of problems you had. I'm all for using a mulligan and doing it over; this one doesn't count. Merry Christmas.
Hey. Don't worry. We'll be here. I just started rereading Sharing the Night anyway.
Merry Christmas!
Oh and Twilight is Best Pony so of course she is typecast as protagonist.
You have no obligation. Life comes first! And happy belated 10 year anniversary on this site!
Apology accepted, and I'm sorry about the difficulties you've been having; good luck in the coming year!
The last couple years have been nuts, no shame in them putting off your plans to do things. I'm just happy to hear you're not dead and still planning on writing.
Eh, hope everything works out for you. We need to read more of the continuing story of Spikes' harem. ^^
Merry Christmas Cast, hope your new year goes better for you than the last. (Amusingly enough, I actually logged back on after a very long absence to see if you had posted your yearly update).
Health before horse-words, my dude, good luck in the new year
Im very happy that you are still alive. These two years had been hell and my god, I really, really didn't want for us to live in such "interesting" times, but here we are. I think your story was the third that I loved from the fandom and my god, how it had shaped some of my views of the alicorns and the world (along with merely a mare)
Hope that things are fine right now and that more fine things come to your way. Take care.
As a beta reader primarily due to my own crippling writers block and need to create vicariously, I absolutely get it. It can be a fine line with admiring someone's works and wishing them the best for all the joy they bring you and wanting to shake the magic word person until the stories fall out, but I try to stay firmly on the former. You take care of yourself first, you know? Anyway, on a completely unrelated note, it sure is a bummer you don’t have a story following a flawed, non-twilight perspective with twilight as a flawed, still developing lead and a really interesting exploration of magic systems. Real shame.
Hope you're doing well during this mess of a year
