Correcting the Critics #2: "Save MLP"

It's been a while since I did my last part in the series. But recently, I saw something that encouraged this installment. A tweet pointing out what someone said 10 months prior. On November 25th 2022, Fluttercheer made a blog post on this site about Save MLP and sent a message about how supporters of that

ChatGPT came up with AU fanfic ideas

I'd say that the title of this blog post says it all, but I'd be lying. I'm not the type who would rely on ChatGPT. But I would certainly consider it once in a while and would most definitely recommend it, especially if you have writer's block.

Some of these ideas I may use sometime. Or anyone reading this blog can use them for their own inspiration.

Correcting the Critics #1: "Why Couldn't MLP been more epic?"

I've chosen to begin a new blog series where I look at the claims of trolls, haters, and ignorant people and pick apart their claims. I can't promise how regular or frequent this series will be. But I wanted to make a proper series with a straight-to-the-point name. In this series, I will also avoid actually posting any links or saying names. I don't want to give the people or groups any

Debunking the Dragonball Factor Part 1.5 · 7:09pm Dec 19th, 2021

So as you all may know, I recently make a blog post about Mykan's blog I call it the DRAGONBALL FACTOR. When I made my Debunk of the Dragonball Factor, of course, Mykan, who's been stalking me, replied. That eventually led to him making another blog about the Dragonball Factor.

So why didn't I use the usual naming scheme for the title of this blog, like "More about The Dragonball Factor" Debunked, or "I call it the DRAGONBALL FACTOR" Debunked Part 2? And why am I labeling this as Part 1.5 rather than Part 2? Because Mykan didn't make a blog different enough from the original to merit calling this "Part 2" or referring to his blog post by name. The only thing not making part of his blog post a repeat is the fact that it's not verbatim. He does add some new details, but they're unrelated to the Dragonball Factor and just him talking about how he hates on Twilight.

So... I guess this is Debunking the Dragonball Factor Part 1.5 (Plus Twilight).

A significant portion I don't need to address, because I've already debunked it.

If you lose... you're accomplishments and efforts should mean practically zip!

You're the only person who thinks that. Well, I guess you share that trait with Trump too.

Twilight may be capable of doing many magical things, like move the sun and moon, transform things, teleport, brainwashing...

...But can she win the fight against such adversaries?

You literally just gave a list of why she would.

Hardly any characters I know can stand up to the Z fighters (Superman did in the Death Battle, but I still can't believe it)

First of all, Death Battle isn't an absolute authority about power levels, since it doesn't take into account that there are different powers and abilities for different canons.

But as for Goku vs Superman specifically, Death Battle wasn't the only one who confirmed this. JUST A ROBOT made a series based on all versions of Goku vs all versions of Superman. And he confirmed that the strongest version of Superman is stronger than the strongest version of Goku (including Gogeta and Vegeto).

Here's a link to the All Versions Of Superman VS All Versions of Goku playlist.

and I know for sure Twilight and her ponies would NEVER beat the Z fighters.

No you don't. You just know that the versions of them that you would make would never beat the Z-Fighters. But when I talk about Twilight and the Mane 6, I'm not talking about your specific version. I'm talking about what's actually canon. I don't know if the canon versions can beat the Z-Fighters or not. And technically, it depends on when in the Dragon Ball Timeline.

Yoda said this once to Luke Skywalker.

"No, try not. DO... or DO NOT. There is no try." What he means is "You either succeed or you fail. If you fail... your efforts and the whole "You did you best" Mean nothing. You still failed, and you're not good enough."

That is NOT what Yoda meant. I don't even know where you got that interpretation from.

A variant of that quote exists in another form when Morpheous tells Neo "Stop trying to hit me and hit me!".

What Yoda meant was basically "Stop focusing on whether or not you'll do it and just focus on doing it". It's basically saying that you shouldn't try to make the force do what you want, and instead allow the force to work with you.

So what if Tien was able to do something powerful none of the Sayians could? In the end, he still can't beat Cell... His accomplishment means nothing, and I still dub him THE SECOND WEAKEST of the Z fighters.

His actions allowed Android 18 to escape. Success isn't just whether or not you beat your opponent. In fact, if Tien saved the world by buying time. If he hadn't, that timeline would've been just as screwed as Future Trunks' timeline.

And again, I'll give the examples.

-Levitation
-Teleportation
-Transfigure
-Paralysis
-Freezing
-Turn to stone
-Ect, ect...

...They won't work on Lightning. Because he has Dragonball skills and powers. (Even without his armor) His body is far too solid for the magic to penetrate or get a good grip on him.

Dragon Ball powers don't give him an immunity to magic. In fact, magic is included in Dragon Ball powers, and potentially more powerful than the abilities that you apply to the Dragonball Factor. Even if I gave you the benefit of the doubt, half of those forms of magic are completely unrelated to penetration or gripping. And as I said in part 1, I already know a loophole that reveals just how susceptible to magic your Space Ponies actually are, unless you want to argue that your Space Ponies are antimagic. But if that were the case, they couldn't use magic either, making their horns absolutely pointless (pun not intended).

Suppose Applejack tries to throw a punch, or rather Buck Kick Lightning.

WHAMM!!

Applejack: "OUCH!! OOH-OOH!! OW-OW-OW!!"

Even if I grant you that, do you really think that would've been Applejack's reaction?

Twilight is Goku, Lightning is Tao... and this time Twilight CANNOT get better or strong enough to surpass him.

Well then, Twilight wouldn't be Goku then.

That's how I want it, and THAT is why I make my Space Ponies and others OP. It's the only way to ensure Twilight hasn't a chance. Even if I don't use the Dragonball factor... I STILL will write it so she gets her tail handed to her... after it's brutally kicked.

And that's why you'd never actually be a Death Battle writer. Even when Death Battle takes all versions of a character as if they are all applicable to one version, or when they fudge the numbers (which they do at times), or simply that they misinterpreted the information.

If you base it on stats alone, I could grant Lightning the win. But if you add a character's creativity into the mix, let's just say that I know that Twilight can beat Lightning. Again, I refuse to say it here, even though Mykan wouldn't be able to counter it. But if anyone is interested in how Twilight can and will beat Lightning, just ask. But it's similar to a technique that worked as a one-hit kill to a Terrasque in a D&D game.

And all this because I called Krysta fat.

Your Changeling Lord King Cocoon has spoken.

No it wouldn't matter if I add a characters creativity into the mix-- I hate Twilight.

Even if do fully analyze her and learn her full extent and potential... I will still not grant her anything. (I'll make her lose... Period)

And that's why you'd never actually be a Death Battle writer.

Aware
and Don't care

The whole point of those fics is to thrash Twilight about. Regardless of her creativity and all those things. Period.

When I said "you", I meant the general audience, not specifically you as an individual. Just because you'd never let Twilight win, it doesn't mean that she can't win in general.

Even if do fully analyze her and learn her full extent and potential... I will still not grant her anything. (I'll make her lose... Period)

And that's why your death battles mean absolutely nothing. Because you're dishonest with them.
