First thing's first, I must inform you, for absolute certain, that as of right now, progress on my FiM series finale rewrite has officially resumed after a hiatus spanning half the year. I actually had a chunk of Chapter 5 (Part 2 - Chapter 1) typed out for some time, but then stopped when I realized I needed a much longer break from MLP stuff than I initially thought (I watched A New Generation in that time, though, because there was no way I could ignore such a big new installment). I'm pretty enthusiastic about working on this story again after so long, and I continue living in hope that I can share my ideas with as many MLP fans as I can.
On another, smaller fan fiction-related manner, I want to stress one more time that The Brilliance of a Restful Mind, my original story, is not cancelled. The more accurate way to put it is that it's been put into suspension. It's something i'd like to work on, something I have no intention of scrapping before it's finished, but it's been put on the back burner thanks to my passion towards the rewrite. We clear? I hope so. I should probably also mention the matter of canonicity. The Brilliance of a Restful Mind is only canon to the official show's finale, not to my rewritten finale. Without giving anything major away, the end of The End of an Era will prove it to be simply, completely incompatible with that story.
Now let's speak of G5 for a moment. I've stated before that I wish not to make any stories set in the world introduced to us in A New Generation, because i'm waiting for the T.V. special and series next year to come along and give me a little bit more to work with, since I know they're already on the horizon. Besides, most of the ideas I have at the moment are things i'm certain they're going to immediately cover in the new show, anyway.
