December 18 2018, my grandmother passed away; she had Cancer. She came to live with us for about half a month as her situation deteriorated. We hoped she would make it to Christmas one last time because she loved it so much... she didn't.

That's why I post this blog today.

Every year around the holidays I usually make TWO Christmas vids for my BEAST BOY'S MAGIC VOICES SERIES.

A Happy and Cheerful one, and a Downer one...

Christmas may be a time where many people celebrate joy, peace, and spend time with their loved ones and friends.

But to some people... it's just another day. Bad things still happen, even at Christmas, and some people just aren't merry, or have nothing to be merry about, or much to be thankful for.

There's no rule that says you MUST be merry at Christmas, nor is there a rule that says you MUST be miserable.

I make these vids to help with the cheerful part, while at the same time, the downer vids are to remind you to just THINK and consider the opposite side, because it is real and it does happen.

BBMV 22: SIMPLY HAVIN' A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS TIME

The very first one I ever made back when I was new at all this (still working out things) and my fave Christmas song in the universe.

BBMV 70: KEEP CHRISTMAS WITH YOU

That's right, taken from CHRISTMAS EVE ON SESAME STREET. Very light and loving, and gentle, plus I like the music. And I misspelled "Christmas" many times int he subtitles (My Movie Maker has no spell check on it, I'm a little more careful these days)

BBMV 82: I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

This cow's (Song's) been milked many times (Sung in so many ways) I like this one... sung by Tony Bennett and Placido Domingo. I make BB and his son, Ferment, perform it on an opera stage, and I can use that orchestra from the TEEN TITANS LOST EPISODE.

BBMV 94: IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME (N'Sync)

You couldn't pay me to refuse this one. N'Sync is my fav pop group, and also... instead of just having Beast Boy do it all, I also added Kevin Levin and Michaelangelo (both voiced by Greg Cipes too) and I threw in Lightning Dawn (Whom I also pretend Greg voices) I even showed this to Greg when I first met him in 2019, and man was he impressed. Although animating Mikey was the hard because he's not drawn.

That'll do for them (I got loads)

Like I said, you don't HAVE to be miserable, but you do need to remember... some people just aren't having a "Merry ol' time."

BBMV 103: CHRISTMAS 1915.

Celtic Thunder's song to salute the Christmas Truce from WWI, and to think I posted it on 2015 (One Hundred Years Later) For this I used FIVE BB's-- 2003... Teen Titans Go... Young Justice, and I threw in Count Logan and Garfield Logan from my TT High School Musicals (To keep them all different)

I love this song a lot cuz it's deep and makes you think hard. I also like to imagine BB, or someone else is singing this song while mourning, and other characters are spying on him/them finally understanding why they are not merry.

And I even dedicated it to one of the singers who passed on.

BBMV 117: "Merry little Christmas" (Home Alone)

Even though this song is supposed to tell you to be merry and light and all that... the way it's being playing and sung, it sure doesn't feel like it. Now, this way feels like someone who's all alone, crushed, lost his spirit, and while he's not merry himself, he's still wishing Happy Christmas for others.

Very befitting for BB considering all the harshness in his life.

"Oh, sure... he's got plenty to be Merry about: A team that disrespects and physically abuses him. A city full of people who disrespect him or don't regard him as highly as the others, a life full of more tragedy and heartbreak, and the only girl he ever loved ditching him because she decided she wants a normal life and wants him out...

...Yeah, he's really got it made."

BBMV 130: CHRISTMAS MEMORIES

Featuring my series VOYAGE TO THE EDGE OF THE EARTH.

Some memories may be pleasant, but they are not without their darkness. Even good and loving memories can bring you more pain than comfort. Good and wonderful times you had, but are gone now and you will never have them again, and you're stuck in a reality with things you don't want to have, or things you hate, or will never amount to those good times again.

That's why I don't really like memories of ALL kinds (Even goods ones)

BBMV 174: ALONE FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Some people ARE alone for the holidays, some by choice, others not. This I made to torture Terra for dumping BB; a way of making her concience overreact, and that she'll feel alone for the holidays too.

That'll be all for that, I got others.

Some downer vids aren't Christmas songs, but they are sad a depressing songs that I just post on Christmas day because they still reflect the lack of jolly, and merriment.

So again... unlike my fanfics I'm not telling you to BE miserable or things like that... just take a few moments to think, pray, understand...

Not all Christmases are Merry, and you can't force someone to say "SMILE" or "MOVE ON!" (depending on the situation)

I end this blog with ME singing Merry Little Christmas... in more a downer tone than a happy one.
