Where to go from here? I call for a vote. · 4:41am Dec 1st, 2021
After taking some time reflecting on the breakdown that was my deletion of what could have been the next chapter of The Soldier and his Rider a thought came out; What if I started fresh in a different perspective? One issue I find myself with this series is that I constantly insert lore from other worlds that my sister and I created when this series was suppose to be a fish-out-of-water story where a British Great War soldier and his horse explore the world of Equestria. Sadly, I feel that is no longer the case. Spoilers ahead; I had planned intrigue, epic battles, sieges, conspiracy, how the multiverse worked, etc. Now I just can't help but see that the story had become too complicated for many to follow, and as a wise man once said, "Complex is fun, Complicated isn't."
Many of you by now will be thinking, "You're cancelling this story, aren't you?" To be honest, I kind of want to. However, I won't deny this series is by far my most read fic in this site so I know a lot of readers would wish to see this series continued. Not to mention, I want to continue to share with all of you the world of Thera. Therefore this is my proposal; I could either continue the course of the story or I could have a rewrite with a whole new direction, mainly the rewrite will cut The Soldier and his Rider short into a oneshot and the new series will mainly take place in none other than the world of Thera. I leave the decision of the next course of action to you readers.
