Being featured, how does it work? + Jinglemas 2021 · 7:02pm Nov 10th, 2021
Hey my dear Followers!
Here comes another (mostly) unnecessary blog post from your homie, Neckbeard.
So here's the deal: I wrote this really silly one-shot story, the one I tagged, and how, I'm still not entirely sure, but it got featured. It was in the featured box for three days straight, and it even hit the #1 spot for like, half a day. I know this shouldn't be a big deal, but this was the first time it happened during my short Fimfic career.
Now the funny thing, this story wasn't too good, or anything, just a random little blurb. It was meme tier. Yet a lot of you seemingly liked it. Or at least enjoyed it enough to spend the 10 minutes or so with it that constitutes as a view. So yeah, that's it. If whatever I plan writing for the future will get even half the attention as this got, I will be a very happy man. Of course, that depends on me. And kinda on you too. Fimfic seems to sway towards giving more light of day to one-shots, from both the writer and reader side. But I don't want to seem judgy. It's just a thought, maybe I'm not even right about this.
ALSO, JINGLEMAS 2021
I've entered this fun-looking Jinglemas 2021 event, and I urge you to do the same, or at least consider it. At least that's what Mr. Shakespearicles said unto me, to spread the word. Well, there you go, I did so.
But really, this seems like a fun little event, and will probably serve as a good challange to me, as any kind of prompt can hit me. And of course, I will do everything in my power to make that story a reality. Hit up the event page for more details, so you know what's up. That is all really. Now go on with your day, and read/write some horsewords!
Cheers!
