The Prophecy of Darkness · 1:46am Oct 26th, 2021
The eternal darkness is here. There is no sun anymore, no moon and no stars. Everypony is gone. Every animal as well. The world is empty. Monsters prowl the streets. And Silverstream is in the middle of it all. She only has her mobile phone and her own voice to keep her company.
How do you survive in a world that has gone completely dark, where everything tries to kill you and your only glimmer of hope is the electricity that charges your phone?

"The Sky is Gone" is a post-apocalyptic survival-horror story starring Silverstream who wakes up in a transformed world when the sun suddenly doesn't rise anymore one morning.
The story utilizes a minimalistic style of storytelling, with short updates about her situation and life after the apocalypse that Silverstream records with her mobile phone. Some messages will be longer than others, but most of them will be in the range of 15 - 25 words. The goal is to write a compelling and atmospheric horror story with few words that create the right mood and a deep immersion in a short time.
"The Sky is Gone" is planned to have several updates each day that tell about Silverstream's adventures in real-time, unless I suddenly find myself in an apocalypse that prevents me from writing down more of Silverstream's messages.
It's a style you don't see often and not what you are used to from stories here on FIMFiction.net, but I hope you will give a different type of storytelling a chance and come to enjoy it!
I will probably talk about the story some more in a blog entry on Nightmare Night, until then, have fun and (hopefully) get scared by my new horror story!
Stay easy as a filly!

Good thing you only said "probably".

What? I did talk about it:
Also, "probably" always means "Something might happen, but I am not sure, so I don't guarantee it.". It's never a promise.

Hence my comment. I see my mistake, though; I was assuming the posts were shown chronologically, when they were actually sorted by "Relevance". Apologies.
