    Update Tonight

    Hey everypony,

I'm back. And back writing too. I've finally found some energy and inclination to get back into writing, and have managed to hash out three more chapters of 'Crossing the Rubicon'. Expect sporadic updates, starting tonight.

    New Year, New Problems

    Hello everypony,

I hope you all had a great Christmas and decent start to the new year. I figured it made sense to update you on what's going on at the moment.

Well, my new year hasn't exactly got off on the best of starts. I'm going to be starting a new job next week, and it means that I'm finally going to move out and have my own place.

Two New Ideas · 10:02am Oct 5th, 2021

Hello everypony.

So I’ve been toying with some ideas for new stories, and after a fair bit of planning, I’ve got two possible stories planned out. For the life of me though, I can’t decide which one to write first. So I thought I’d ask you, because asking the internet for its opinion always goes well. Anyway, here’s a summary of both stories. Comment below on which you’d like me to do first.

1) Not Rain, Sleet, Nor Dead of Night - Consider this a form of writing therapy for me as someone who works for the post office. This is a multiple chapter story following newly employed mail pony Quick Courier, known to his friends as Six. Featuring characters from the series, such as Derpy, various main characters, and several OCs, this story takes inspiration from the various funny, odd, bizarre, and sometimes scary things that have happened to me and my friends on the rounds, with ponies standing in for real people. It will be mainly slice of life, with comedy sprinkled in.

2) This Message is a Warning - This story is more a lengthy one shot with elements of horror and would probably make a good Nightmare Night story. When the princesses receive word of strange goings on at an archeological site out in the Badlands, they send Twilight, Spike, and Starlight to investigate. Arriving on the scene, they find an area that is inherently unsettling. Jagged rocks protrude skyward and large square blocks give the impression of streets leading nowhere. Twilight surmises these are not natural, and when Spike takes to sky, he sees a huge black disc in the centre. Arriving at the site, they find several ponies suffering from an unknown illness. The pony in charge agrees with Twilight that the surroundings are artificial and part of some sort of message from a pre-Equestrian civilisation. Something is leaking, causing the illness. Twilight and the others must now try to understand a message from millennia ago, before they and the other succumb to an invisible killer.

So there you go. Those are my two ideas. Comment below and let me know which one strikes your fancy more.

this is a easy choice,, can you have #2 around and posted for Nightmare Night? as you say it is a long one shot..
then you can move back to #1..
Nightmare Night story's is a good way to pick up a larger fan base.

I'd say the first sounds better, assuming it isn't a Fallout fic. Those have just gotten stale lately.

Do the second one first, especially if you feel you can get it done (or nearly so) before the end of the month. Then move on to the postal service. Many bizarre things happen to postmen, yes?

5591924 No, it isn't a Fallout fic, despite the slight nod to New Vegas. It's all very much contemporary, canon G4 Equestria. And the second on has nothing to do with Fallout either.

Honestly, some days, it feels like I'm living in an episode of M*A*S*H. To the point where when the morning delivery wagon arrives at the sorting office, someone always calls out 'Choppers!'. I think when I get around to writing it, you'll be surprised just how odd some of the stuff you read is.

5591920 Good point on attracting more readers. It's an interesting concept too, the thing that gave me the idea for the story I mean. And you might be interested to know that all the weird stuff that happens in the story was actually planned out in theory at some point.
