So people have been making predictions about Finding Friendship, and there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, I encourage it. But enough people have brought one prediction specifically for me to want to clarify something. But I will put it in a spoiler bracket, just in case.
If you haven't read up to Chapter 47 yet, I would suggest not reading any further.

And now for our message.
Outside of being based on characters and events from Friendship is Magic, Finding Friendship has no connection to the continuity of the show. Period. Full stop. Finding Friendship is an entirely separate universe/continuity/cannon from the show propper. Events from the show have no weight in the Finding Friendship continuity, outside of inspiring it and a few of the events of course. And yes, that includes Starlight Glimmer and her very specific role in this story.
I don't know why this of all things bothers me so much, but I just wanted to vent these frustrations a bit. Sorry if I'm coming across as kind of a jerk. It's 4:30-A.M. I got off work and had a few drinks. I might delete this in the morning when I'm rested and sober.
Well duh, for something it has AU tag, obviously it wouldn't be folloing the show, what within the 3 first chapters it was clear...
