Ok, so. · 8:08pm Aug 28th, 2021
I got laid off at my workplace a few days ago. Which sucks, obviously, but it's not the end of the world. To be honest I suspected that gig wouldn't be permanent. I don't need any assistance financially, as I'm fortunate enough to have a good buffer of personal savings.
In terms of what this means for my writing, that's simple. Hexbolt (that Owl House fic I linked recently) is now on hiatus, and my current plan is to really put my nose to the grindstone and get that original novel I've been hammering out on and off for a while completed at last. Then, I can try and get it edited and printed with help from an actual publishing company, the kind that might actually make me decent money. Depending on how well that goes, I might transition from engineering to authorial work full-time. In the latter case, my fanfic output - MLP related or otherwise - may shrink due to fiction fatigue.
Just thought I'd keep the handful of you still here in the loop.
Thanks for the update.
The best of luck to you in all your endeavors.

Bless. Hope things will go smoothly for you on getting a new job.
