So this is something I was hoping not to due, but let's just say that this summer has been the worst summer I've had and it's caused a lot of problems for me. Problems that I've been trying to deal with personally for the past few months, but they've reached a point that I have no choice but to make changes in my life to deal with them.
First off, let me start by say this. I am not in any danger physically or mentally. I am not addicted to anything, I am not depressed, nor am I suicidal. I am not in danger of being homeless or anything of that nature. I am just currently in a really bad state with my job, career, money issues, bills, and one big "FU" from the IRS. Because of this, I have sacrifice a lot of my free time to working on making sure I can get out of this state. This sadly means that any future personal fics I was planning on doing, including "A Burning Flame In My Soul" and "The Assassination of Twilight Sparkle Rewrite" is hereby on Hiatus until further notice. When this will be fixed? I do not know, but until I am comfortable enough to return back to my normal schedule, I am forced to stop writing any new fics that are not Commissions (more on that later).
This doesn't mean I won't finish Student Six Learn About The Wasteland. I only have a few more chapters about that one before its finished so I do intend to work on that still. However, this sadly means that I will not be doing any new personal fics on my own or with others that I had planned until things improve (Save for this one chapter I promised someone I would get done).
However, I will be keeping commissions going. Mainly because I plan on still continuing my comics and the funding for those comics (both MLP and original) will be helped by commissions which are still open (Or if you want to donate to my patreon that works too: https://www.patreon.com/ratedponystar).
However, going forward there are possibly going to be changes regarding commissions. Starting next month, I will be accepting Multi-Chapter Commissions again instead of just One Shots. Multi-Chapters have different rules and I will be making a few changes from the old ones. I am not accepting them now, but I will let you know when I am accepting Multi-Chapters again. Those are the only fics that I will be making going forward that are new until my situation improves.
Second, there might be a chance I open myself up to other fandoms outside of MLP for commission work. Not really sure on doing this, but if it does happen, again, I will let people know, but that won't happen unless things are still bad like this sometime next year.
This is sadly something I wanted to avoid, and I did do a lot of thinking on it, but this is how it has to be. Hopefully, things will improve and if you want to help, feel free to commission me (Currently, I am doing one commission and there is a person behind the first as of the time of this blog entry) or if you want to donate to my patreon you can do that too.

Well, life can be a rather harsh mistress. What can you could do but to deal with it the best you can and hope for the best as the end. That's all we could do.
Man that sounds rough. I completely understand though. I wish you the best of luck and hope that things work out for you soon.
As much as I was looking forward to seeing your new stories, I understand real life must always take first priority. Besides, I have waited patiently this long so what harm is there in a little longer.

Sad that you are having troubles in your life right now. When you do open Multi-chapter story commissions, I have a few MLP crossover story ideas in mind.
Please don't feel guilty about having to take a break from writing your awesome stories due to outside life. We all understand that life has to be focused on first before anything else. Take as much time as you need to get yourself together so you can keep doing what you love, and then some. We can always wait until you return
