So I was watching a review on Squirrel and Hedgehog, a propaganda cartoon made by North Korea to train their youth to really be patriotic. Complete with waterboarding, guns, and bodies getting stabbed on stakes. Keep in mind this cartoon is as popular as mickey mouse, and the characters are even painted on walls for Nursery centers.
Well, I was watching this cartoon and was fascinated by it... And now I enjoy it a bit too much. Like, this cartoon is something I genuinely enjoy watching because the animation is pretty good, the propaganda is so interesting from a history viewpoint, and like pls help??? Sooooo yeah, I guess I like north Korea cartoons now. 👁️👄👁️
Sounds normal, to be honest. Apart from the "patriotic" propaganda for a dictatorship country part, there's no reason for you to dislike the cartoon.
Though, this comes from a guy who has never heard of the cartoon until now, so R.I.P. me if this comes off as offensive.
*baps you with newspaper* No..stahpit
Being able to look at something and not recoiling from how offended you are because you disagree with it just means that you mature enough for the subject material.
Well hey, if you like it you like it. There is nothing wrong with that. I've never heard of it before but it sounds interesting. Hell some of that stuff has happened in my TiE series. The waterboarding in the sixth one especially since I wrote that one to resemble real world warfare and geo-politics.
