Why Diamond Tiara does not attend Crystal Prep Academy

(Aside from the fact that CPA was not introduced until the third movie)

I recently formulated an explanation:

The Filthy Rich of the Equestria Girls universe was once romantically involved with Abacus Cinch. Although their individual ambitions ultimately led them to drift apart, they remain friends.

Filthy's wife Spoiled, however, is insanely jealous of Cinch, and as a result, opposed the idea of enrolling Diamond Tiara in Crystal Prep (probably fearing any influence her husband's old flame might have on her daughter).

Of course, I have no idea why Silver Spoon, whose very name implies great wealth, would not attend a prestigious private school.

That makes a great deal of sense to me. Headcanon accepted!

Of course, I have no idea why Silver Spoon, whose very name implies great wealth, would not attend a prestigious private school.

My headcanon in regard to Silver Spoon would be that either she has more sensible parents than Diamond Tiara and they were able to recognize that CPA was a toxic environment for her, or else they wanted her to have a more "normal" childhood rather than sending her to private institutions.

That would be an interesting topic to explore. Cinch clearly seems to foster a twisted "survival of the fittest" / "win at all costs" attitude among her students.

I think that their parents knew how CPA acts and never put them in that school or they went to CHS before.
