Season 1 Episode 8 Up! (May 24th) · 9:47pm May 24th, 2021

Hello my lovely readers! It’s time once more for an update. Episode 8 of Star Trek: Phoenix is now available for your viewing pleasure.

This is the first of a two parter, and I’ve said what I have to say for the most part in the AN. What I also would like to say is that Sunset’s ascension, to help clarify people’s concerns, was in fact catalyzed by the warp core explosion and her act of self-sacrifice. It wasn’t just the warp core, but the fact that she willingly sacrificed her life to save over a thousand people. And let me be clear: in this AU, if she had not done that, they would have all died. The saucer was too close to the stardrive. She had to do that in order to rescue them.

And in case part seven didn’t make it clear: the fact that she did that allowed for the Enterprise-D saucer to not only survive, but be taken back to Earth. Why? You’ll find out.

In writing progress news: season two is well on its way. We’re looking at trying out something new for season two that’ll help me out a lot with keeping up posts while also being able to handle the demands of my job. More on that when we get to a suitable point. It’s something you’ll enjoy, don’t worry.

Personal news: stuff’s been heating up on my job. It’s getting very busy, delaying things with writing newer episodes. Still have a buffer for now, and I’d like to keep it that way, but oh it’s becoming harder.

Take care my lovely readers. See you next week!

Ever thought of using a character's personal log to cut down some of the heavy lifting?

I really wish you could update this as frequently as Danganronpa. Each week, waiting, can be torturous.

I actually do on occasion but I also don't want to rely on that as too much of a crutch.

Well with IHW I had the advantage of working alone and having a set layout. The Chapter Daily/Deadly Life layout made a huge difference.

But you were also getting them fairly unedited, almost one draft to publish. So what you were getting wasn't always as good as it could have been.

I guess it's more about quality than frequency here, huh?

5524579
Yes. That, and it's a different type of story. You're still getting about the same amount of writing per update. The usual update for IHW is less than half of these episodes, so when put together you get about the same amount.

D-Saucer: they are going to put it in the museum?

Nope. You'll find out next week.

You know, while the Vorta are fanatics, some of the time they can be reasonable. I kinda liked the Weyoun that Odo bonded with.

I wonder how the Vorta handle Sunset Shimmer. Let's be honest, the Founders were often wary of humanoids and Sunset is not a humanoid so it would be something novel for them to meet another sentient species that were not humanoids like most of the universe.
