What can I do better with my work/writing? · 6:57pm Apr 4th, 2021
I know I've been harping on this too much, but do you think I should revise, rewrite, or even delete all my work, especially the ones that are related to Odium and even the ones that are more well-received? I just need to know the answer of what I should do to make it better, so can somebody give me that? And whatever it is, I'll do it.
I’d leave all your stuff except Odium stuff which I’d rewrite but it’s totally your choice

Okay. What should I rewrite about the Odium stuff?

I’ll have to reread to remember the issues I had with it I’ll let you know afterwards
5490211
Okay. Wait, did you read all my Odium stuff before?
5490212
Yeah I did once before I had an account lol
5490218
Oh. Was that a joke or are you being serious?
5490219
Serious I was just laughing at the fact it took me so long to make my own account
5490228
Oh.

Pretty much everything. A lot of people have advised to scrap the whole thing and start over. I'll give a simple example of why the character is not likeable, enjoyable, or worth investing to.
The very first thing he does is meets someone who tells them some people are evil and immediately believes it and dedicates his life to stopping them without any evidence or thought, and insists doing so when he's in a position of simply observing them and finding the truth.
The guy's choices and actions are of a stupid schmuck. It's like trying to get invested in the story of someone who fell for the "buy a bridge" con, and isn't even funny enough to watch fail around while he insists he's a superb businessman.
Scrap all of it and start anew, though I advise you keep away from making OCs until you get better at characterization and plotting. Sticking with existing characters is much better since you'll have a better grounding on how they're supposed to act, behave, and talk.
