Recently I have received complaints about the way I often grant all the heroes in groups I use SUPER NATURAL POWERS in order to beat the bad guys, even those who have no super powers but usually get along fine without them using their "WITS" and their "RESOURCES"
Like how Robin and Batman don't have super powers. What makes them cool is their "wits" and that Batman is rich and has all these resources and gadgets, and is very cunning, able to leap out of situations.
Yes... I CAN admit that is pretty cool... but only SOMETIMES, and it all depends on the situation.
I watch BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES and the old ADAM WEST BATMAN to see just how resourceful he is and how he gets out of things. Sometimes, it's just by pure luck. (An object he can use to his advantage JUST SO HAPPENS to be there)
-A pole his grappling can latch onto
-A shard of glass so he can cut the ropes
-using salt water to rust the cuffs so they break
But I'm getting off topic... It's ROBIN that should be the main focus, cuz it's usually Teen titans.
Yes, Robin is cunning, swift, clever, and resourceful, and even skilled...
Number one: Robin's not going up against your ordinary Run-of-the-mill villains. The enemies I like to create are supposed to be able to make Trigon, Darksied, and even Thanos look like amateurs.
All of Robin's smartest thinking and best strategies and tech will not serve him well this time. (Strategy alone will not be enough... not this time.)
When the Titans faced Trigon, their ordinary skills just weren't enough. They were endorsed with some of Raven's magic, and Robin was given a special powerful ring by Slade to survive the underworld, and finally... it was Raven and her SUPER POWERS that ultimately destroyed Trigon. Not wits and cleverness... it was POWER.
Even if Robin's ordinary skills WOULD work, what then? Then it's not challenging. The story doesn't go on the proper length its supposed to, and the villains are obviously run-of-the-mill like Joker, Penguin, yayayaya...
Nope, if you want to beat these bad guys, you gotta upgrade yourself (Gain powers)
Even the Power Rangers faced that...
Zordon: "I’m afraid nothing we could do could ever give the Dinozords enough power. You now need stronger, new Zords equipped with the power of thunder to defeat Lord Zedd."
Number Two: I don't like Robin! He's a dickwad (in my view) and it's high time someone punched him in the mouth and lose a tooth or two (BB has the honors) and I take relief in thrashing him about and making every single one of his moves as ineffective and poultry as using THUNDERBOLT on a GROUND TYPE Pokemon.
The main reason he, like all the characters (even BB) are in the story is to get thrashed about because I don't like what happened to them or how they acted. (I'm in this for revenge) so I also make certain to turn their POWER LEVELS WAY DOWN... or just simply make them ineffective.
I have looked over Darksied's powers, I'm slightly impressed, but I'm not amused.
In my fanfiction, only Beast Boy Villains (Count Logan, Yamimakai) or villains who are associated with him are allowed to be THAT strong, HAVE those kinds of Powers and Capabilities of causing such murder and destruction and chaos.
If you are not Beast Boy, or you do not work for him...Thanos, Trigon, Darksied... can all be defeated as easily as popping a balloon.
Same applies to Twilight Sparkle and her flimsy friendship fools...
Let's put her in LEGEND OF ZELDA OCARINA OF TIME (The Final Battle with Ganon)
-First, she and her friends have to be able to actually FIND his weakness (Which is his tail)
-Then they have to be able to actually GET to the tail and HIT IT.
-Then even if they are lucky enough to hit it... did it do ANYTHING AT ALL?. (Nope... they aren't strong enough to even tickle him, let alone take any HP away)
Twilight may have the right IDEA of how to battle and beat these monsters, but she has neither the strength nor the resources to pull it off.
That's how it goes. That's what I do. That's what I want to see.
Still, that's how it is...
Without the Super Powers and the upgrades... You don't have a Chance to HAVE a chance to even GET a Chance of hoping to make it in my fic, and even if YOU have the chance... doesn't mean I'm willing to let you win.

It doesn't matter what plan you have, what of kind of skills, or super powers or tech you have (Even being able to move the sun and the moon, or bend reality or manipulate energy) Unless your powers are tied to one of the two magical books... You don't have a chance. That goes for Darksied and the others too.
Even WHEN the heroes revived the powers, it still proved to be hardly enough. (I'm not giving them the chance) TERRA is supposed to be able to match Logan and down him, not the others. (And like I said... "You're here to get beaten up.")
"Robin is cool, he has skills, he uses his wits and he's got these awesome gadgets. He knows how to fight, and he knows how to rationalize and how to beat bad guys ."

-Superman can do it...
-Warhammer 40K can do it...
-Jesus Christ can do it...
...It's not going to go that way this time...
...Period.
TBF, it all depends on the writers. Characters will be nerfed or strenghtened as is. And again, it depends on which version of Robin, and which Robin, you are talking about
Also, Darkseid is a literal god, it makes sense he's that strong.
