Their adventures will take them to faraway lands and force them to challenge the status quo by facing their fears and making new friends out of old enemies. The world Sunny has dreamed of her entire life could finally become a reality as Sunny and her newfound friends fight to prove that even little ponies can make a big difference."


Let's look into this new premise. I'm willing to give it a chance even if it might have overblown messaging about dumb human related issues. I don't watch MLP for human politics/or whatever happening on Earth. I used it as a means of escape from that. Will it be woke and preachy? Will it lean far left? Or somewhere in the middle.

I like to think this as an alternate universe. And have no connection to G4. Even if it turns out to be good.

Loss of magic. That's a hard one to swallow. Could be useful for story writing in fan fictions as to why it happened. The Ponies did something evil? Kill non ponies and subjugate them? Are we going to have preachy morals about non ponies being minorities. And about how 'evil' ponies are? Or did non ponies do something bad to them? Did the ponies become xenophobic and isolationist after suffering a terrible cataclysm?

Are we going to have stories about ponies colonizing non ponies lands? And ponies have pony guilt instead of white guilt over what their ancestors did.

Or do simply the three pony tribes simply hate one another? Will Earth ponies all be MAGA Hat wearing stereotypical Republicans? Will Pegasi be communists? Will Unicorns and Alicorns be white supremacists? Lol. I don't know. It could be a funny as a parody fic to mock all sides of the political spectrum.

Let's hope. At any rate. We could see some cool crossovers with G4 meeting G5. Even if goes down that road. Let's hope it does not divide the fandom. The lack thing we need is new fans attacking older fans.

Twilight. You can argue that she's not a real princess, she was tricked into it by Celestia, and just asks "what would Celestia want me to do?" for everything. If you want to be kinder to Celestia, there's the theory that at some point Twi was supposed to grow a spine and say "no", at which point she's proven she can think for herself, but it never happened and things got completely out of control.
