Today is Tara Strong's birthday. She is the talented woman who voiced Twilight Sparkle across the show's nine seasons and related media. And as was confirmed in a test pilot clip unveiled over a year ago, she not only originally auditioned for Pinkie Pie but also for Rainbow Dash (as well as Twilight). And I've already talked in years prior how some of her most iconic roles were not ones she was the original voice of (Batgirl within the D.C. Animated Universe was originally voiced by Melissa Gilbert, Timmy Turner was originally voiced by the late Mary Kay Bergman for the Nicktoons shorts, and Bubbles was originally voiced by Kath Soucie in the What A Cartoon pitch that the Powerpuff Girls originated as before Cartoon Network ultimately picked it up).
Happy birthday, Tara Strong. Twilight Sparkle has definitely become one of your most iconic roles, and I hope that if the current information about G5 is correct it will be possible in the future for you to return to voice Twilight Sparkle once again.
