Hero walked into the bedroom. “Hey Mels?”
Melody looked up, surrounded by three little nymphs. “Yeah Hero?”
He walked over to his closet. “I was looking for one of my rifles, did I put it in my—”
As soon as he opened the closet, an avalanche of eggs came falling down, burying him underneath them. Melody blinked and moved them aside with her magic, slightly shocked.
“Found it!” Hero’s top half popped out, holding the rifle. Then, he looked at the pile. “Um… why are all these eggs in my closet?”
“Um…”
Hero crawled out, then opened her closet. Sure enough, another avalanche of eggs buried him. Melody blushed and pulled the three nymphs closer against her.
He popped out again. “Melody, this is the fifth time this week… and it’s only Monday!”
“I know, I’m sorry…”
He crawled out again, then walked into the kitchen, where another pile lay. “Uh… how?”
“I don’t know!”
Hero looked around, noticing eggs laying in just about every corner. “Uh… Fluffy, I think we have enough eggs to start a new hive…”
Melody blushed furiously and hid her face behind her wings. “I can see that…”
He carefully sat down on the couch, reaching for the TV remote. Melody pulled the nymphs close and continued reading. He walked back into the bedroom, flopping onto the bed.
“Okay, so the outlet is blocked by eggs and I’m too lazy to do anything about it.”
“Come read with us then.”
“Okay but first… how many eggs do we have again?”
“Um…”
Hero stared at her. “Yeeeaaahhh… we have problems….”
