Sometimes, nurturing a friendship is more important than writing or writing goals. · 11:43am Feb 4th, 2021
This here is a, slightly late, announcement that I changed my plans for this week. Loyal readers of "Dreamwalker Dash" will have already noticed something changed yesterday when they waited for a new chapter without being rewarded with one, readers of "A Storm on the Horizon of the Arcane World" will have at least suspected that something is going on when my promised teaser didn't come on Sunday.
I will make it short with telling what happened, because I am getting back to writing for the second half of the week and have set some new goals for that. Since Sunday, my friend goes through a time of distress and I decided to go easier on my writing for the next couple days because of that. I won't tell what exactly it is that happened, because I know she doesn't want it to be said in public, but it's something that greatly reduces her productivity and forces her to be inactive for the most part at the moment, which results in a lot of depression for her. If I am busy with meeting strict writing deadlines, it means I can spend less time with her, so I made the decision to shift my attention more towards her than writing.
This is the reason why neither the announced second teaser for "A Storm on the Horizon of the Arcane World" happened on Sunday, nor a new chapter of "Dreamwalker Dash" released yesterday.
The situation looks better now and she feels more stable again, so I am able to give you a report about how the situation looks. And that means I will also pour a bit more time into writing again now. What this means for my writing goals this week, in detail:
Teaser #2 for the next chapter of "A Storm on the Horizon of the Arcane World": The third teaser is scheduled for tomorrow already, but I will still release the second teaser today, in a few hours. "Better late than never" is a philosophy I'm following here.
The other two teasers, as well as the release on Sunday, are currently not in danger and will most likely happen as planned. I'll inform you instantly if something changes there.
The new chapter of "Dreamwalker Dash": I thought about this and wanted to announce that no new chapter will come this week, but I changed my mind. I cannot afford more delays, I am lucky the story still has readers and it would be the most horrible thing that could happen to my writing at the moment if it went down the same, dark and lonely path as "A Storm on the Horizon of the Arcane World" (seriously, Fizzlepop does feel lonely during her travels, give this poor, betrayed filly some company!) does. So, I will use some extra hours and I will try to get the new chapter released this week anyway.
If I bite down on it, I can invest two extra hours of writing today, four tomorrow, two on Saturday and another two on Sunday and this might be enough time to write and release a chapter this week. No promises yet, especially because I have to see how I can take it at the moment to crunch down on writing like that, but I will try to still bring out a chapter this week.
"Letters to Cozy Glow": More work will be put into the chapter today and then it will release today as it usually does. I don't expect any changes here, if some arise, I'll let you know immediately.
"Liza Doolots and the Candy Factory": The next chapter is still being worked on and work on the story will proceed as foreseen. No differences here.
And that is where we stand for this week. Like I said, if something changes, I'll let you know quick. And now I need to go back to writing.
Stay easy as a filly!
