How disliked is Anon over all? I get it, he's a blank slate, basically a legobrick protagonist that you can insert yourself in as. But, we have guys thinking he's green looking wearing a fancy tuxedo, when in reality he's kind of meant to be you. I don't think you are supposed to think he looks like that.
An original character may fair much better. Unless, you are simply bad at writing... like me XD.
Still, I feel like I should make more dumb stories that don't have Anon and not second person. Should I just make more Commander Shepards from Mass Effect in Equestria as an Anon replacement. XD
Or try make some sort of OC, even if it's turns out to be awful.
I donno it depends. In most of the Anon stories I have read he’s kind of a jerk. And usually ends up being the butt of the joke.

It always feels weird when I read a Second Person fic and the author has already given the human a name like Kevin. Like, that's not my name, stupid.
Though we need more Second Person fics of the perspective of a pony that falls in love with a human.
As for Anon, I think he is alright. I mean, it's not like every Anon is the same in every story. And saying that he is bad because he is a blank slate, there are tons of fics about background characters, that in the show has no personality, but get praise still.

Yeah, there some anti human wankers here. I'm not sure if the ponies themselves would appreciate these people. I personally prefer human x pony romance, when compared to pony x pony.

Same. I always have preferred HiE than any other type of stories because I enjoy the "Fish Out Of the Water" trope, and I think you can get creative with the idea.
Though most people don't take the opportunity to do so and it does make some stories blend together because of how similar they are, which is where I can see why people dislike HiE's.
With romance, it's the same really, but also because the dynamic of a human and a pony (or just any race in MLP) is so different that a good writer can really make something special out of it.
When it comes to clop, I prefer human because pony dicks are disgusting. Also human stamina.
It really depends on the story. I've read some stories featuring Anon in which he was a sex-crazed maniac, others where he a buffoon, others where he's just a guy trying get by, others where he's in a healthy relationship and others where Anon is female(those are the least common on this site).
Less disliked than Flash Sentry, I think.

Yeah. Horse stallions can only last between 15-30 seconds and can't get hard after 24 hours after their first release. If you want to use realism (which can be fun at times) a well endowed human male would be seen as you said, a sex king.

Fair, I just think its mostly cause its rather lazy, just calling him anon. I know he's meant to be the reader, but he's often just called Anon, and also used mostly for porn fics

I think a lot are. But many aren't at the same time.
I do kinda wish Anon wasn't the patented quippy, arrogant, mares stalion, but the name at least can still surve as the blank slate. Still probably better than using a generica; Jason, Jake, Kyle, Mike etc.
But if your writting a story that already has a human, but he's not the center of the story, then Anon the character works because most people are already familiar with him. Same goes for introducing alternate Anons. Like an evil Anon from the future whose seen all the creepypasta and horrorporn fics, and just wants to kill all the villains and control everything
