WWB Phase One coming to an end... 2021 plans for the series · 5:57am Dec 29th, 2020
I just made place holder stories for all remaining Phase One WWB fics. We're really getting close to the end (of the first phase) here, y'all 
This is all five remaining Phase One fics in reverse order (so bottom fics are getting published first). I've said a lot of stuff but I now think I'm going to try to keep regular updates going for the rest of Phase One (which would work as a stopping point for the series for those who won't like the direction I'm taking it in Phase Two).
"Breaking the Ice" is the holiday fic I failed to get done during the holidays. I finished it today, but I'm now using it as a content buffer while I work on Life in Equestria. It's a three-chapter fic, and will be published weekly (bi-weekly updates will be reserved for longer fics). It's about Sunset's first holiday season (Hearth's Warming, Christmas, and New Year's) with her new friends, several months after the Fall Formal and before Rainbow Rocks. As the name implies, a certain issue regarding a frozen lake is at the crux of the story... The first chapter will be released on January 17.
"Coda" is a fic I've talked about a fair amount already, but it's basically a follow-up to Thicker Than Water and The Open Road from human Fluttershy's POV. It's a rarity in my stories in that it's a direct answer to reader complaints, namely some of the toxic comments certain readers have left targetted towards human Fluttershy (my personal favorite character of this whole series). It follows up on what happens to her after the other stories, and more or less wraps up her Phase One storyline. It's five chapters and will be published weekly. The first chapter will be released on February 7.
"Life in Equestria" wraps up the Phase One story of several WWB characters, mostly characters that have been supporting cast for the series. We'll continue the stories of Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Spike, and the CMC in this fic, with many of the above being POV characters. It'll also introduce a fan-favorite character from the show into WWB canon. I won't say who, but word on the street is she is just a pony... This will see our usual main characters – TwiShySet and Morning – as supporting characters, and will involve a lot of shipping. It's a two-act story, eighteen chapters, and I'm currently writing it. It should be another bi-weekly fic. As long as I can get at least Act I written in time, the first chapter will be on March 14.
"Life in Everton" is similar to its sister story above, but in Everton instead of Equestria. It chiefly follows the Everton girls – Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Apple Bloom – though I wouldn't be surprised if Rarity, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Sunset show up at some point. A bit too early to talk about this in detail, and I don't know how long it'll be (probably only one act though), but if everything goes smoothly with writing and releasing Life in Equestria on time, and I can get this fic written in time, it'll come out on May 23.
"Shimmer and Shine" is the final story of Phase One and I get emotional just typing that sentence and realizing how close I am to this milestone. While Life in Equestria chiefly focuses on the adults, this fic will focus on the child characters. By this point, Morning will be a young teenager (cutie mark getting age in WWB!) and some other kids will be born as ponies settle down. This is the official "changing of the hands" fic where the younger characters become more focal points of this series. Because I don't know how long Life in Everton will be or whether it'll be a weekly or bi-weekly fic, I can't say when this fic will be published, but considering the May release date of Life in Everton, a June release date would be the absolute earliest.
After that, I'm determined to focus on other things. Maybe the Noodleverse series that I've only ever written one fic for, but plan on doing six. Maybe original content. Maybe just the WWB audiobook and print versions (which I was doing before I got struck with the urge to write).

It's pretty crazy to think about. This series has been the main thing I've done for over five years of my life, and it'll be six years by the time Phase One is over. I've spent a lot of time with these characters and it's hard to know this part of the story is coming to an end, and that the next part of the story will be very different.
