So, a little while ago I won a contest and found myself in possession of $50. I thought to myself: "AndwhatIseeisme, you handsome devil, whatever shall you do with this windfall of pony bucks?" Well, as it happened, around the same time an author I follow, Solipsistic Corruptor, opened up for their first ever commissions. So, I figured, what the hell, I might as well put that money back into the fandom and buy myself a story. So what did I commission?
More Startrixburst, obviously.
So yeah, Just Love Each Other Already! went live last night, and it's a story about the best ship in the fandom and Starlight having great ideas. I think it turned out really well, and it was fun to see what direction another author took my ideas. My policy going forward will be to put any prize money I win back into the fandom, so hopefully this won't be the last story I commission. I've even got a new folder to keep such stories here.
Anyway, that's all I've got for now. Work sucks right now between the holiday season and a covid resurgence in my area, but I'm doing my best to get some writing done when I can. Hopefully I'll have some new stuff coming out early December. See you then.
