Snow Heart
Snow Heart looked to the pony before her, the two had agreed to meet at the local cafe. She brought her notepad, put her interview glasses on and began. "hello there, I'm Snow Heart, and I'll be asking you some basic questions, feel free to answer however you wish. So tell me, who are you and how did you get into mlp?"
Phillip
"I'm Phillip Finder, private detective here in Ponyville," the stallion in the gray trilby replied, his Aussie accent rolling around every syllable. "I was born in early 2014. My creator, PonyJosiah13, was home alone on New Year's Eve 2013 and decided to watch MLP on Netflix to see what all the fuss was about. Got hooked. He created me while he was active on deviantArt for his first fan stories."
Snow Heart
"Ah, I see. Very interesting. " Snow heart scribbled notes down before looking to him once more.* "Who is best pony?"
Phillip
He smiled, a small twinkle in his gray eyes for a moment. "Daring Do."
Snow Heart
"Daring Do is cool and all, but I myself am a Rainbow dash fan. I wanna be just like her! Oh I wish I had her confidence. I'm actually very shy outside of the internet." Snow heart admitted, bashfully, trying to have de her purple eyes behind her white locks. "Ahem! What inspires you to write?"
Phillip
"The boss loves writing stories. Always has." He pulls out a flask and pops it open. A whiff of rum can be detected before he takes down a swig. "Way his mind works, it's always going, conjuring up more and more ideas. And he feels like he needs to get them out. Can I tell you about how I evolved?"
Snow Heart
"Of course! I'm here to listen after all. it's kind of my thing to help others shine! So feel free." Snow heart replied as she scribbled down notes,and stuffed up her nose at the off smell.
Phillip
"Back in 2014, Josiah started writing me in a series that grew into 20 stories. He learned a lot writing them, came up with some good ideas. But he eventually got tired of it. Started feeling like he and I had gotten stuck in a box. And frankly, mate..." He snorts. "They were amateurish."
"In 2017, he wanted to write a prequel to the series starring Daring Do and yours truly, but he instead decided to rewrite the entire universe from the ground up. Turned into the Ponyville Noire series."
"And that's where we are now."
Snow Heart
"Ah, I see. Fascinating. We don't talk about how I got started on here, we just don't. But anyways, in regards to writing. What advice would you give a new writer just starting off for the first time?"
Phillip
"Don't be afraid to make mistakes at first. Experiment with what does work for you and what doesn't. Learn from your critics: a good critic wants to help you become a better writer." He chuckles, mouth twitching up slightly. "And we all need to get the edgy stages out. Fair dinkum, you shoulda seen the original version of me. Could catch arrows and learned martial arts from pony Shaolin monks."
Snow Heart
"That seems a bit much. Oh! I see what you mean. I mean I'm a bat alicorn, so I don't have much room to talk." Snow heart giggled, scribbling down more notes "is there anything you'd like to say about the man behind the pony?"
Phillip
"He says he still has a lot to come. At this rate, he's probably gonna be writing me for the next couple years." He took another swig from the flask. "And I'm perfectly aces with that."
"He's a Vermonter, and a criminal justice major in real life. Looking to work in the office of an attorney friend. Loves Harry Dresden, Lovecraft, and Sherlock Holmes."
Snow Heart
"Ah, I see. I believe I heard of you once upon a time. From another pony. Do you know Seriff? I'm one of his prereaders, though probably the least helpful, as I think Spectrum is amazing. Oh but I'm rambling! Is there anything you'd like to ask me?
Phillip
"Yes, Seriff is one of his friends, and mine. Spectrum is amazing."

He studied the mare up and down with stormcloud gray irides. "So. A bat alicorn, eh?"(edited)
Snow Heart
"Yep! That's me. It's a long and complicated story, but honestly my writer is a bat in real life so she made me a bat, and the wings I got when I ascended into princesshood. Even though, I often question if I deserved them." Snow heart admitted, with a hoof against her white mane. Her fur was a dark blue, like trixie, but her original design was more like Rainbow.* "But we're not here to talk about me! What do you like to do for fun besides writing."
Phillip
"Me, play sax, do experiments at home, go for a run. The boss, read, go biking or visit a museum or a bookstore, play board games."
Snow Heart
"Ah! All very good hobbies. I draw, and sew myself." She replied. "Tell me is there anything else you'd like to say?"
Phillip
"One last bit of advice for readers: it's good to plan your story out in advance. Especially with mysteries, since so much of the plot relies on details that happen 'off-screen' or before the story starts. The boss actually made a small video on writing mysteries a while back."
Snow Heart
"That is very good advice. Thank you for coming today. I really appreciate it. If you ever want to chat, I'm not hard to find, and I promise I don't bite."
Phillip
"Duly noted. Maybe next time I'll introduce you to my universe's Daring."
"Cheers, mate," he declares, raising the flask.
