Eight years ago, a friend and I came together to create a crossover series about a headstrong Avatar and Six adorable ponies restoring the magic of friendship across their two worlds. Eight years later, even though I have kept my word about retiring from writing anymore LPL content, it warms my heart, and still surprises me, that people continue to read and enjoy this old series.
As a Thank You for all of your support over the years, and in honor of news fans, I made this Anniversary poster featuring our favorite Avatar Princess and Pony sisters! The pose and outfit are influenced by Elsa from Frozen 2’s Fifth spirit outfit. You can bet if Frozen 2 came out in the year of LPL, I would have used Show Yourself as Korra’s anthem because, who are we kidding? It totally fits her! Four elements, magical crystals, an outfit change, the final element in a compete set? Come on!
I tried to incorporate a Tree of Harmony/Twilight’s castle motif to her outfit, and of course crystals with the same color as the Mane Six’s coats.
The background is the only thing that isn’t mine, thanks Google for that.
Sometimes, it’s hard to find the right words to convey how grateful I am (like right now) so I hope this art piece will be enough to showcase that.
