Research rabbit holes · 5:14am Aug 22nd, 2020
So... I was researching some information on soap making to make sure that my information wasn't completely wrong, and man there is a whole world of amateur soapmakers and soapmaking enthusiasts out there. They're called "soapers" and they make soap out of basically anything that has a hint of fat in it.
I've found cocoa butter soaps (this one is pretty common, but I had to start somewhere), peanut butter soaps, goat milk soaps (I use one of these), cow milk soaps, olive oil soap, canola oil soap, just basically any kind of thing you could think of...
Pine tar soap... looks like a brick of pure evil.
And, for real, peanut butter soap is a thing.
I have discovered a whole new world of soap and soap-making techniques. I won't bore you in story, but this is not a typical research find for me. I was just so... wow. ALL THE SOAPS.
... look at all these soaps!
Stay clean peeps. Part 2 coming tomorrow morning. This is just an interlude bit of research.
... why tho?
I wonder if they can make soap out of unsold copies of Deus Ex: Invisible War?
I've always wondered what failure smells like.

Oh man... I remember that failure. That was a horrible game and I remember being so excited for it when it came out because I loved how rich the story of Deus Ex was.
I had a friend once who went to hospital because he swallowed some soap.
The doctor gave him a clean bill of health.
This blog makes me realize I haven't seen Midnight Dancer around here in forever. D: She used to make soap.
As long as the recipes you make use of aren’t actually from a video game, you’re ahead of the curve .
The pine tar one reminds me of charcoal soap and toothpaste.

I'm afraid I didn't know her...

I shouldn't be surprised that people try to make things from video game recipes. Or write about ponies/people making them that way. I mean, there's an entire youtube channel for making video game food. (GameTime)
