So I had reason to download iTunes on my work computer.
It had to do with MLP:FiM:The Movie. Long story, won't bore you with it.
So I thought, "Hey, I'll just listen to some of this old music that I haven't heard in nearly five or ten years." See, shortly after the divorce, I kinda stopped using iTunes because my Apple-made devices started failing one-by-one. My iPhone just crapped out entirely and it was cheaper and easier for me to get an Android phone, my iPad mini faceplanted a metal post and destroyed the screen and its replacement was a bargain-basement Fire tablet, and even my Mac mini got less and less use as I started using a Chromebook more for personal use. By the time I lost the apartment at the beginning of 2019, I was completely Apple-less during my day-to-day use.
This means that my iTunes library, as in the music that I bought via iTunes, is a time capsule. The final song in the library is Pompeii by Bastille.
By the end of the song, I had tears leaking down my face and realized I wasn't quite as healed from the divorce as I thought. See, I bought that song in January 2015, literally the same week my wife walked out.
On the plus side, it did put me in the mood to get back to work on Empire of Dirt, so Chapter 5 is ready for my pre-readers and should be posted soon.
