We really do as both fans and as people.
We can too. As a cynic, as someone that sees the worst and the doom, the gloom.
Those that follow me, have likely seen the many blogs from other artists, better worded writers.
I'm just a hack really for anything.
But those folks are carrying the rallying flags right now. And they are brave to do so. Both in the unpleasantries, (being kind) and the face of what they are staring down. (A nasty vipers den) Despite this, I wish them well in bringing this to a point we can as a community can fix this.
I'm not going to spout politics. I'm simply going to say it that poisons and diseases come in many fashions.
And what we are facing as a community is an ideological one that we do need to expunge and purge.
We tried to be Kind. We tried to be Honest, and Generous. We tried to be Friendly.
Everything we stood for, as a whole, from the magic of a positive messages, we tried to be good people. And for it, a nasty bit of poison has taken hold in matters.
It happens, unfortunately. But now we have to step up, put our hooves down, and say "No."
Two letters, a single word, but one that is often so damn hard to say, and harder still when its a friend, or someone that has ties to you.
It really is.
But we have to here, if we want to have a fandom that held the magic it once did.
If we want kindness, we have to stop enabling hate.
If we want honestly, we have to stop enabling the ideology of better or lesser.
If we want generosity, we have to learn to say "no" to what these people are stealing and taking.
If we want loyalty, we have to ensure that no others lessens another.
If we want laughter, we need to heal the wounds these folks have done to so many others once they are gone.
If we want friendship to be magic once again, we need to cut out the ideological poison the world fought to stop not once, but twice.
We need to do better, but we can.
Don't enable the nazi please.
The world fought against their atrocities, we need to stamp it out here as they did, our world united against them.
Because we should be better, and I believe we can be.
Be good to yourselves, be safe, and god bless.
Remind yourselves why we fought so hard over a decade ago to be good people.
We can be those people again.

Hmm happy to see you talking about this. But as for me though I am more neutral when it comes to things like this. I stay neutral mostly because I am an observer so I tend to watch and then tell others. It's easier for me to do this then get in the middle of that makes sense.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to respond. It meant the world to me (it does!), and actually shocked me that I got so many (For me especially.) replies on this. (And yes, for me, this is a lot.)
I sort of expected the worst here on these. (Hello mr cynic!) But this really did offer a bit of a smile to see that i was wrong. And I hope that you on reading this can have a smile that you did make a rough start to today a bit of another person through a simple thing. I do hope yours follows suit.

And yes Megaskullmon, i do admit to being in the same boat. I prefer to look, to be a person that helps others keep on keeping on, as it were. I do understand there, because it helps you show and see others as a fresh perspective. This one, well, I may not be to hold the front lines (As i've neither the social fortitude or ability to try and debate those, or fight those wars), but I hope at least I can spur others to look, to offer that you can help. Even if you wish to remain neutral. I appreciate you being willing to say on it.
applauds I mentioned to Jake the Army Guy we could all benefit from a rewatch or two of the show, I still agree. Because, like, the old pony fandom would have never have gotten this far. 2020 is going to be one of the best years, but also the worst. It'll be known as one of change. Change doesn't come easy, you have to fight tooth and nail for it and I hope that's what's going on now.

It's good to see a couple weeks later that you took your blog's title to heart and are doing better, Strat. No more hate-stirring, no more rallying cries to violence, no more attempts to censor and purge whichever minority you disagree with. As R5h said, "Nazis, get out!" and I am glad you took this to heart and stopped.
