    One Year

It's hard to believe it's been a year since my dad died. Sometimes it feels like a decade ago, sometimes it feels like it was just last week.

Patreon Suggestions · 12:50am Jun 11th, 2020

Hello, fellow adventurers!

As time goes on, I've returned back home with the rest of my family. I'm one class away from finishing my associate's degree and hopefully moving on to other schools. Unfortunately, along with having more expenses and being expected to contribute to the house, I've also been told that single last online class is going to cost more than eight hundred dollars, which will completely wipe out my savings and then some. I'm looking for a job right now, but until then, I've decided that it's time for me to do something I've put off for a long time:

I'm starting up a Patreon page for my work. Right now, it's under construction...

Which is where all of you come in!

I'm really not that experienced with asking for money, it kinda goes against the way I was raised. My dad is one of those "I never ask for help no matter how badly I need it" types, and it rubbed off on me. As such, I don't have many ideas for rewards.

- An exclusive Discord server to talk/discuss. I usually go to one or two friends to discuss fics and bounce ideas to and get feedback, and this would be similar, but also forming a community of friends with shared interests.
- Access to my WIPs folder - In-progress and unfinished fics, along with "screen test" chapters (which are chapters either written absurdly far in advance or testing new ideas or characters)
- Weekly Vlogs and/or Newsletters
- (possibly) Short fic requests of around 1-2k words. I'm slightly more hesitant about this one, but I'm not unwilling to try.
- Requests for fic readings. I used to perform these live on a group discord server, but I would be/am willing to record them, or do them live on the patrons-only Discord
- Suggestions and priority for franchises to appear in The Multiverse in a Nutshell
- Having your name displayed on the front of my user profile

I've been looking at other creators' patreons for ideas, but I would like to make sure I'm really giving what people want and a good value. As such, I want to know YOUR thoughts on this idea, and what you would all want for rewards!

I look forward to hearing from you all!

I would definitely pay money for these things. Like if they were all part of a tier that’s $25. But take that with a grain of salt. I’m incredibly cheap. Also I’m not overly familiar with how Patreon works.

The idea behind Patreon is that you can basically "subscribe" to a creator by paying a monthly donation and they provide special rewards in return.

There is the option for creators to charge every time they put out new content, but I think given my tendencies to have trouble sticking to a schedule, monthly would be more fair and regular to everyone.
