So as uncovered by Wootmaster in this tweet thread, a man who is respected in this community, Jetfire2012, took to the streets to defend a bar he kind of liked from righteous protestors using a sword. He locked his account since, but pictures of his tweets explaining this can be seen here. He tried to kill people to defend property that wasn't even his, and he got his ass beat for it. He deserved to get his ass beat. He's alive, which is good, but he also doesn't seem to have learned anything from it, judging from those tweets.
I considered writing a big blog explaining to the bronies here why what he did was bad, but even considering where to start placed my mind in such an alien place. To me, it's plainly obvious why he was wrong. And that's not even getting into the other bad things he's said on Twitter, one of which is shown in Wootmaster's thread above. To me, it's clear that he must be banned, and no longer allowed to represent the MLP fandom. Love and tolerate was never the message of the show.
Now, about It's a Dangerous Business, Going Out Your Door? Sure, keep it up. I haven't read it, and now I never plan to, but it was an important part of the fandom's history and people tell me it's good. I'm glad the author apparently didn't put his actual views into the story. I would like his user name to have a big "BANNED" message next to it with a link to an explanation, though, or something like that.

Killing anybody is wrong I agree. But defending something they like from, what at the time was far more riots than protests, comendable. Not like he did, but still.
But try and tell me that what has started ever since this whole mess began has been worth it? Destroying history, and trying to rewrite it because people can't accept fact?
Then I will straight up laugh in your face. Whatever lasting good that comes from this, will not be worth what was destroyed, to get there.
