My Thoughts On... Uh... Women’s Portrayal In Stories? · 3:40am Apr 29th, 2020

I really don’t know what to title this, but I hope as I explain it, it becomes a cleaner picture.

So, I don’t have many female OC’s. As a matter of fact, I only have seven. Silverheart and Goldstar from Elemental!, Silverfang and Kydra from the Blue Fang stories, and three new OC Wonderbolts for The Cricket. And I have many OCs. If you don’t count the nine Fangs, Iris, and Spiderfang, then you have Element Aura, Crimson Strike, Boltfire, and Dark Matter from Elemental!, all boys, their family, two mares and a stallion, then from Frontlines, you have Spearhead, Boltaction, Winter, Rocky, Groundbreaker, Zeus, Hades, IronClaw, Sheller, Flynch, Scorch, Apollo, Captain Trapper, Emerald, and probably a bunch more. All they’re all boys.

You may be wondering why the gender imbalance. Well, the reason is those types of people who take women’s portrayal in stories WAY too seriously. It’s kinda like who people say things about women’s portrayal in video games. It’s annoying.

I’m always worried that there’s going to be that one person that’s gonna be like, “You didn’t portray her right!” and “You didn’t give her a good leading role!” and I’m like, “But I gave her a leading role... isn’t that what you wanted..?”

I don’t know why people do that, but they do. Now, no one has commented those comments yet.

Keyword: “Yet.”

Now, I believe in equal rights and stuff, which is why I wrote Black Widows. I wanted to show that not every war hero was a boy.

I really don’t know what to say know so uhhhhhh....

Yeah I got nothing. I guess I’ll you guys and gals later. Bye!

I know we already talked about this, but I completely agree.

I don’t have that many female OCs either.

It's fine if you don't have that many female OC's, at least for me. I didn't even realize it until you posted this. But it's not a problem. Also what's The Cricket?

It’s another one-shot I’m writing.

I also agree with the fact that feminism can go... overboard at times.

Yeah, I'll admit to that.

Let me know when it comes out, I want to read it.

It’s kinda like who people say things about women’s portrayal in video games.

I once saw an article about how someone was trying to prove that the Legend of Zelda series was sexist and racist....because of the Gerudo.
They're Amazons. They're frickin Amazons. WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT FRICKIN AMAZONS.
