Donkey Kong is complete, time for the next project. · 5:46pm Mar 22nd, 2020
It was long wait, and I apologize for that, but I finally finished the Donkey Kong story!
One of reason it took me so long was because I kept hitting parts that I wanted, but didn't know how to approach (much like ch. 9). It got to a point where I kept getting sidetracked with other projects so much that I often punished myself by not continuing. You remember those monster mare stories? Well there was a third contest which I wanted to enter, but if I didn't finish Donkey Kong on time, then I would discipline myself by refusing to enter. The contest apparently was forgotten as it's well past a month of the end date. Still, I did make a cover art for it...
But know I can focus on my next project, a Final Fantasy story with Tempest, Shinning, and Flash as the main leads. There's also an OC, but I have plans for that guy that won't happen until much later in that story. The theme is 'acceptance' and the story will play out much like my Legend of Zelda story and focus on using the FF references as a way to push the story along. However, my knowledge on FF isn't as great as on LoZ. Outside of the first two Dissidia games and a couple of other games...
I'm strongly familiar with 7, & 10 (as well as 10-2)
Beaten but foggy on the story with 4, 8, & 9
Beaten but can't recall the story with 1, 2, & 13 (and only the first 13)
Ran through the 30 free days and remember nothing about 14
At the final boss, yet completely forgotten the story for 3
Stopped playing somewhere in 12
Played only the first three hours for 5, & 6
Only seen an hour or two of gameplay for 15
And I have no idea what 11 is about.
If you want to throw any kind of fact, idea, trope, or anything that you think might be useful for the FF story, I'd appreciate it.
But in any case, for those that have Favorited this story... thank you for your patience, I hope this last chapter makes up for the time spent waiting.
For those who have this story shelved, or tracked, or whatever... thank you for holding onto this story for so long and I hope you'll enjoy it.
And for those who stumbled onto this blog... I've place 2 and a half years into this story and it's been more than 3 years since I started to developing the entire story before writing it, so it would be very generous if you took some time and consider reading this story.
As for me... right now I just want to get some rest.
