The Empty Room is the story that got me into the fandom. If it wasn't for Noble Cause smacking some sense into the other prereaders believing in the story, it wouldn't have made it to EqD, and people would have never seen the adorable if misleading coverart of Luna with the ducks. This is almost a decade ago guys. It was published like, a month before Past Sins.
I never expected TER to be picked up for publishing by someone else, especially with the care to quality and detail that went into it for anyone interested, and seeing it happen is a personal achievement for me. Sure, I've published Gunsmoke (I'm still figuring out the end of Three Sisters) but there's a bit of something else when someone else thinks it's print worthy on this scale too.
Not to mention I'm sharing book cover with none other than ColdinGardez, who I still owe a beer to. Salvation is Legend, and it deserves every upvote on the site and splatter of ink on the page. Read it and weep. (Or you know, don't weep, but enjoy it). The Corner of (our) Eyes by Daemon McRae is also included in this volume, and I am ashamed to admit I have not read that one yet to be able to do it justice in a few sentences.
Finally, the second volume contains "The Immortal Game" which is another fandom classic, and if you've read The Sweetie Chronicles and/or League of Sweetie Belles, you might've stumbled on it as well.

Oh man I can still remember my fist encounter with the empty room, one of the only Fics I read early on in my fic reading that I still remembered well enough years later to find. It's awesome to see this
The Empty Room was and is a great read.
Reread it a few times.
Every couple of years or so, I have to go back and re-read Ponies Make War The Immortal Game, as it was (one of?) the first long-form pony fic I ever read, and still one of the best.
I remember enjoying The Empty Room in its original form way back when, and then coming back later for a re-read, only to find that you were completely revamping it. After the dust settled and I found the time to go through the new version, I found it just as poignant and touching as the original, and it easily retains its spot in my favourites list.
The Corner of (Our) Eyes is one of the best suspense/horror stories I have read. Even though I am really not a fan of the genre (I picked the story up due to a Derpy binge I was going through; also the cover art is very eye-catching [pun intended], and perfect for the story), from the word "go" it was an utterly thrilling ride.
Salvation… is sadly still gathering dust on my "Read Later" list, which only ever seems to grow, no matter how many stories I go through. I will get to it someday, Pinkie Promise!

I am curious about these stories of yours that are being published and sold in physical copy... isn't that illegal? I thought under copyright law Hasbro technically owns exclusive rights (including sales rights) to all of the fan fiction of its IPs.
5252615 they are as illegal as fanart. They're being sold at cost, plus there's no way any reasonable person can confuse them with it being material produced by them.
