March Update · 9:31am Mar 18th, 2020
I feel like I owe y'all a blog post so everyone knows what's going on. Red 36 is not dead and neither am I. (You go thinking "Gee, it's early enough in March that I shouldn't have to make a blog post" then suddenly half the month is gone) For one, I got my Wisdom Teeth removed a couple (three?) weeks ago and the pain and the meds were making it really hard to finish up the chapter. Or just focus on anything in general... A few other things also came up at the end of February. Then there was this one scene in particular that was giving me a ton of trouble, and I finally got that down over the weekend. But I told a few people I wanted to have this done at the end of February, so that's the main reason I'm making this blog.
Here's the plan. Going to finish this draft up hopefully by the end of the week. I'll make a separate blog post as soon as I hand it over to my editor. Then I'm going to finish this intermission chapter which I planned to release alongside ch. 12 and do that while said-chapter is going through my editor (The draft for that is basically done it just has to go through some edits and touch ups). I wanted it to be a surprise when I posted a double release, but I feel like I've taken long enough on this to where you're owed an explanation. I still have one other big surprise coming down the pipe though, and I'll have more information as soon as I finish this chapter. Just know that it'll be big and cool, and you'll go "Wow El Dee, this is really awesome!" (probably in those exact words. I can see the future).
That is it! Stay tuned and sorry for the wait.
PS: Totally random aside, I feel like writing chaotic fight scenes is really difficult. I remember being equally upset at myself for taking a long time on ch. 6 as well for similar reasons. It felt like the best way I was able to get through it was to keep a a logical flow of events to keep the reader grounded with a specific end goal in focus, while constantly bringing in new elements and changing up the power dynamics in the fight, but it was still a pain to plan out. (Jeez, what a clusterfk.) Hopefully that'll make it an entertaining read though. At the very least with Covid-19 going around I'll have plenty of time to finish this. Hope you're taking proper precautions and good luck out there.

Hey, look at it this way El Dee.
You update more often than Heart or Somber and so long as you don't pull a NoOne on us and leave the fic on a cliffhanger to return and finish it in 2 years in a single day because you had everything written out already.... You see where I am going with this? Good, keep up the great fic and take the time you need!
P. S. Stay healthy!

Thanks, I just hate going too long without keeping everyone in the loop.

And that is why you are the better pony than I am.
Hey Eldee, totally understandable. Sorry to hear about the wisdom teeth, that can make it really rough when you get that many pulled at once. While I am really looking forward to your next chapter, relax, take care of yourself and know we are waiting but understand the delay.
ohh Hello there ;D
