End of the Year Update · 10:07pm Dec 31st, 2023
Hello, it's El Dee here again with a long awaited yearly update, sending love to all of you who have stuck around and have been following my work and life struggles.
What can I say? I had a lot of difficulties in the latter half of this year which was the time I had allotted towards finishing this update (Nanowrimo and all all that), so a lot of my time was wasted just coping with general stress and anxiety. I was practically living off of anxiety medication during this time, so I am not anywhere near where I want to be with this. The good news is, it is not like I got nothing done and those difficulties are over with (resolved just a little over a week ago, I am intentionally being sparse on the details). I am also now enrolled in weekly therapy sessions that have really been helping me out. Getting proper medication to help me focus. If you're reading this, I'm really grateful that you are interested enough in my writing to want to know what's going on and what happens next. You're the reason why I keep doing this and thank you for your patience with me. I am bad at social media and communicating sometimes and get way too caught up in what I'm doing to remember to interact with people. Sometimes it feels like all I have to share is "Wow the update still isn't ready yet! Great job, me." So I just don't say anything. Then before I know it the entire year is already gone.
I hope that with the new medication and direction I get from therapy I'll be able to put myself onto a more productive path. Enrolling in art classes again was something I was thinking about doing. Also kind of want to learn bass again. If I start posting art regularly, I'll link it here, though I'm not super sure where most people post their work these days. I am still intent on finishing this story, even though every time I say that it feels like I mean it a little less. Maybe this is just me in lieu of recent events. So what I'm trying to say is I'm really grateful to you for checking out Roulette's story and I'll do my best to get you something soon. If anything, enjoy the art of her I keep getting from Lillowisp in the meantime.

Okay then, here is some art of Roulette and Sunny attending a gala hosted at Tenpony Towers illustrated by the ever-talented Lillowisp. Roulette is not really having a great time. Either because of the schmoozy rich ponies or the fact Sunny convinced her to wear a dress. Will it happen? Probably! Stay tuned to find out.

Had this story of yours in read later for some time now, just no time to get through all that stack... Still will get to it eventually, so I am rather interested in the story you have built. Saw art of it first so it got my intrigue.
Hopefully things will get better for you, anxiety is such an attrition to everything you do.

Oh 100%, I used to have debilitating anxiety as a result of my upbringing, and it was not a fun time. While I'd say this particular situation was a little outside of the norm for me it just ended up bringing a lot of it back. I think was a result of lack of healthy personal boundaries for myself. Upon removing myself from that situation I immediately felt better and so I have a lot more energy to focus on other things.
