A Question That's Been Bothering Me · 11:16pm Feb 16th, 2020
When did this genderbent stuff have some sort of agreement? It seems to have been something before I joined. Looks to be some time in 2012.
Dusk Shine, Rainbow Blitz, etc. I have no problem with it, but it seems strange how quickly agreed those names and designs were.
How did the fandom go: "Yep, those are perfect", and NO ONE seems to have fought for any other name?
Nowadays, ESPECIALLY since the finale, we can't agree on anything! Even the most trivial of things! How did that happen back in, dare I say, the strongest influx of bronies?
I'll never fully comprehend this fandom and it makes wish I was an OG, so I could have experienced this. Curse me for being 13 when the show came out lol Oh well, better late than never.
Similarly, how quickly the fandom settled on FlutterDash and SweetieMash for ship names.

That's also something I've been wondering too.

I guess we tend to gravitate to what rolls off the tongue better. Compare;
Sandcellus
Ocelbar
Which is easier to say?
If you were thirteen when it came out does that mean you're twenty three now?
5204563
I like to go on the more complicated side, so I'd lean towards Sandcellus, I guess? It depends on what you like.
5204583
Well, technically, I was 12 when it was originally released. I turned 13 during the first season. I'm 22 now.
5204591
Hey me too but I turn twenty three in July.
5204595
I wait all the way until December for my 23rd.
It seems like I'm older than a lot of people here, honestly. Of course, a lot of the OG's left and they are clearly older than me so... lol I'm overthinking this

It really shouldn't, but it still blows my mind that there are users on this site who joined the fandom because they grew up watching the show.
Random theory: the latecomers to the G4 brony fandom will become the pioneers of the G5 brony fandom.
5204668
That's a good hunch.
5204591
Sandcellus rolls of the tongue more easily, in my opinion.
5204772
I'd agree with you.
5204786
Very good.
A great fandom mystery
