Hello? Is... is this thing on? The red light means it's on, right? Or do I... I have to push a button, don't I? Well, which one? There's like ten! The black one? They're all black!

    Motorboard hats look really stupid.

I got a reminder of that on Thursday, when I officially graduated from York University. But, as I was walking back to the car with my family, BSc in hand, I realized something. Maybe they're supposed to look stupid. Because I was wearing the bloody thing with pride. And if I was wearing something that stupid with pride, then I had to be really proud of myself.

I don't know how many of you have been following the New Horizons mission...

... but I have. And the stuff it's sending back is super exciting.

So There, They're has been canonized.

"It's amazing how much you can pick up when you're actually in the book!"

Please excuse me while I giggle like a schoolgirl.

Time to celebrate all things circular again.

And today's a very special pi day indeed. On a related note, I'm attempting to post this as close to 9:26 and 53 seconds as I can.

So, yeah. Grab some pie, doodle some circles, calculate the radius of the universe or something. The sky's the limit on pi day.

    Today's a special day.

Because starting today, I can go waltz across the border into the United States, walk into the first bar I see, sit down, and order a beer. And nobody will be able to do anything about it.

Then I'll stare at said beer awkwardly after remembering that I hate beer and don't drink. And then quietly ask for a virgin screwdriver or something.

Question about my physics blogs · 1:17am Nov 18th, 2012

I have a question about them. One that I'd seriously like anyone who bothers to read this to answer, because I'm really starting to wonder.

Do any of you actually read the blasted things? I know a few of you do (if the facetious comments on them that say "it's magic, problem solved" are any indication), but I'm getting the slight impression that the vast majority of you really don't care.

Granted, I could be wrong. There's the chance that most of you just can't be bothered to comment, or something. But either way, I'd like to know.

It's important to note that the answer to this question will have little to no effect on whether or not I continue with the things. They're a great way to keep my brain in shape, after all. I'm just curious.

Also, if it turns out that a good portion of you do care, and have a question you'd like to see answered, shoot. I'm beginning to run out of ideas.

If I can't add anything or can't think of something, I don't leave a comment.

I usually read all blog posts. But when I get slammed with many updates and notifications, I am likely to just skim the blog posts.

I love them, it gets my brain in gear trying to keep up with you

I found the one where you determined Twilight's producing a door being the most outstanding magical feat to be particularly interesting. (Producing matter requires a lot of energy, end of story.)

And as for a question for the show that you could work on. How strong would diamond dogs have to be to dig through solid rock like they do in the show? A sub-part of this question would have to be 'what is the density of diamond dog claws?'

i'll be honest here, i haven't read any of them.
but that's not from a lack of interest, but rather the simple fact that i just don't read most blog posts.

plus (and i'm not even sure about this, my brain is mush), i think i only recently started tracking you, so.... that might be part of it.

I loved the physics blogs!!!!!! Please more!!!!!!!! :pinkiehappy:

i find them very entertaining
though im usually at a loss for a comment

I enjoy these blogs, real good think pieces they are. So, I will submit a Question: How much energy does Discord expend on: levitating Ponyville? Materialzing a Hedge maze? Causing nuclear fission with chocolate milk? Forcing cell growth in apples and bunnies? Levitating an overcast of cotton candy with their payload of milk? Have at you, FanNotANerd!

I LOVE to read about the science behind FiM :).
There is one thing that really puzzles me - what is the standard acceleration due to free fall there (the small g, on Earth it's \approx 9.81 \frac{m}{s^2})?

Oh, I enjoy your "Fun with Pinkie" ... I mean " Fun with Physics". :pinkiehappy:
But there are usually no points I could (and for my own sake: should) write a comment about, so I just read and smile.

i care i just never comment. :twilightsheepish:
