Disabling comments.

I’m going to disable comments on Sunset’s Guardian Angel as I feel like some comments are making me lose hope with the story.

I advise against it. Disabling comments tends to get folks more riled up. Take your licks and prove the doubters wrong.

In my eyes if you disable the comments and ratings you'll metaphorically let the haters win.

If the comments aren't constructive criticism I think you can delete them, but you should leave the ones that offer constructive criticism.

I agree with Lofty Withers. It does rile up folks. They will find other ways to do it. Like private messaging. Here is the catch. Comments are tame. However they will be a lot harsher in Private messages. Those commenters will do anything put someone down. The best thing my friend has found out is just secretly delete them. It will confuse those trolls. Writers should stand against the commenting bullies.

I don't think deleting comments is worthwhile. Comments that are bullying can be reported to site moderators. They can erase comments without a trace and impose sanctions against rules violations. Anything less than that is harmless, and deleted comments look bad on a story.

I say ignore em and keep on going. Prove them wrong as many others have said. But this is your choice.
