I have not forgotten or abandoned my story, and, to clarify, I have no intentions of doing so. Just been a busy bee at the moment between work and home life. Thought I would make sure it was known.

Dont worry about having a late chapter, some authors update their stories every month or so, sometime multiple months! 7 days is nothing in comparison so there is no hurry unless it is a contest

Just do as much as you feel comfortable doing and update whenever you are ready

That's still quite short wait time. There are stories that finally updated after 6 years. Even one of the legendary early fandom stories, Asylum, is close to getting a new chapter. A week? That's, like, an hour at most compared to some of these ancient slumbering titans.
