Will Disney buy Google, or will Google buy Disney? Also, which one will own a country first? And not in the shadows, I mean "The United ''Republic'' of Google." I know Disney has owned some towns.
Also, I have a new story coming out soon-ish. It was for a contest, but I didn't get it done in time. Still going to release it. It's a Blueblood story called "King for a Day."
There's a town in Devon owned by the British Ministry of Defence.
I bet Google will buy Disney, but Disney will own a country first. Because Disney already has multiple Disney lands around the world--they'll build a bunch in surreptitious places, then connect them with a wall, and inside will be a new country. But then Google buys them, and turns it into the United Republic of Google Princesses.
Disney is worth less than half of Google, and pennies compared to their new parent company, Alphabet. That being said, Disney World in Florida is already technically a city-state, just not 100% sovereign from the US.
The truly frightening scenario is that they merge to form one collective and assimilate everyone.
Resistance is Futile.
Google will falter first.
None can stand up to the House of the Mouse. All who stand opposed to him shall crumble, burn and drown in the woes of the world until they submit to his all-mighty reign.
The reason Disney 'owns' towns is because the properties span multiple counties and its much much easier to handle licensing and policies and laws when you're a city instead of a commercial property.
Man, where have you been in the past couple of decades? Disney already owns a country. Heck, they own a planet!
...They're called "Disneyland" and "Disney world", respectively.
I'd rather neither. Better to have them competing.
