Starlight’s New Friend (and Celestia’s obliviousness): Behind the Scenes! · 3:37am Nov 11th, 2019
Honestly, there isn’t much to say about this chapter, other than I feel like it was a let down compared to the others.
The only noteworthy edit is the scene with Starlight and Trixie. To sum it up in a sentence, it almost didn’t happen. Literally, I had the entire chapter finished before I added that.
A small fun fact though: I always wondered how Celestia would react to Twilight just leaving her there in the castle, which is why I had Jake show up. In the show, I know there wee a few other ponies, Derpy, Cranky Doodle, and Vinyl Scratch if I remember correctly, but I decided not to have them for the sake o comedy and me just not really wanting to have to write Cranky.
Like I said before though, this really just feels like an unnecessary chapter, that may or may not have turned viewers away from the rest of Romantic Mischief, which sucks because it’s one of my best works. Of course, it doesn’t come anywhere near as popular as it’s predecessor, but it did reach the top of the ‘Popular Stories’ list a few times.
And that’s all I really have to say.
