This weekend we're going to Ponyville Ciderfest. It was a very last-minute decision, and wow-- we're gonna be broke. But! I'm looking forward to the guest of honor panel, hearing Black Gryph0n and Francis Vace, seeing Andy Price, and no doubt coming home with a lot of unique treasures I wouldn't ordinarily get.
Kiddo is coming with. He says he wants to go, and I guess it was a silly question to pose to a five-year-old, but his interest in ponies has waned over the last year or so! I just thought he'd... I dunno. Not care? Oh well. All those fun adult events shall be passed up. (Though husbando did promise to stay with Kiddo while I went to the Friday concert, and I'll be damned if I'm not going to have some of that amazing hard cider.)
I think I'll take my camera again and snap pics of the cosplayers. I met some really cool people at BABScon doing that!
It felt appropriate to go to a con after the series ended. I'm sure the number of conventions will drop off as attendance suffers, but so long as a few are still around, I'll probably still try to go to them. I mean, hey-- Xena Con went on for YEARS after that series ended.
In fact, I thought those were done for good a few years ago, but then I recently Googled, and apparently there's a 25th anniversary Xena convention happening next year in LA! So yeah... I'm sure some pony cons will go on strong for a while yet. I just wonder which ones.
I was kind of hoping to work on HCHL today. I've been drawing some inspiration from... well...
I let myself get suckered into Lehzin, that Korean comic site. It began when I started reading Her Pet, which is basically a cutesy pet play comic. It came up randomly as a google ad with just a picture of a girl panting in a collar. I kind of got freaked out when I saw first saw it. Oh god, Google knows my kinks! Curiosity won out. The translation can be kind of awkward sometimes, but the story is cute. Overall it's pretty tame, but the kinky overtones are clear. So kind of SFW, but if someone looked over your shoulder during the pet play scenes you'd probably still feel weird, lol.
it's getting colder. winter is coming. i'm not ready.
