Hi Alara.
I’ve been reading your stories since 2014 and wanted to say that each one has been an outstanding experience. “Not the Hero” is personally my favorite because of your excellent use of lore, drama, character depth and creative combat. That being said I very much enjoy all the rest of your stories greatly as well. “Elements of Opposition” has been an exciting ride so far and I am still curious to see how “God of Breaking Rules” ends. I don’t normally post comments on fanfics but you’re one of the authors that stands out consistently and have helped to further solidify Discord as one of my favorite fictional characters. I really like what you’ve done with him and personally consider it a head canon in my mind. I hope you have also been doing better in terms of health and aren’t too stressed with putting out content.
I don’t want to burden you with requests since begging for stuff isn’t my go to, but I did want to share my thoughts in regards to potential ideas that had crossed my mind. Mainly, your magic battles have been outstanding in both detail and creativity, and different teases to past engagements that discord has had really got me wondering what happened. Some of what I hope to see most is how Discord had fought heavy weights such as Apophis and Typhon. I’m especially curious to know how the battle between Discord and Matrisse has gone down since one was a hulking mountain, but above all, the fight that’s been sitting in the back of my mind that I’d love to see was how Discord went back in time and fought Mayhem. Seeing two chaos avatars going at it would be so exciting to see, especially with all the raw emotion involved for Discord. Again, I don’t mind if we don’t see this in the end because I know you’re very busy with various other projects. I just wanted to share some of the mind worms you left in my brain haha.
I am also curious to know what your take is on the season 9 finale. To keep it vague for spoilers, I found it interesting how a guy was jumped the way he was by three other guys. I didn’t think the goo was able to do that much.
Other than that, I want to again say thank you. Your stories have always come in at key moments when I was out somewhere or doing something, and each chapter because of this is tied to a fond memory. Primarily “Not the Hero” but for others as well. I look forward to your next update and can’t wait to see what happens next for Discord.
