Where am I going? What am I doing?

So, the show is officially over. I've given my well wishes and thanked everyone. The ending did get to me. I wasn't fond of the epilogue, but I loved the 2 part finale.

Anyways, I wanted to give a heads up on what is going on.

Where the hay are the updates?

Long time no-post, I guess. To put it blunt, I feel burned out on writing. This isn't to say I give up, but more that updates are gonna be exceedingly slow for a bit as I'm dealing with real life stuff at the moment. I'm in my final semester of college, and the 2nd to last class is really working me over. I hope I can pass the class. Still, there is a bit of doubt in my mind as the material

Well that took a long time

Opened my mail today to see that Diary of the Banished got rejected from The Royal Guard. I expect rejection anymore, yet what surprised me was the fact I got an actual response with some critiques. At this point, I fell ambivalent towards the criticisms. It's through writing that I get a great sense of pleasure and crave this type of interaction to better myself as a writer. It is through

    Slow Updates (Possible Mini-Hiatus)

To reiterate what was stated in the previous blog, real life comes first. Though it's only two classes, I'm really engrossed with one class that requires a good 75% of my attention due to its difficulty. Story update wise, I have some concept down for Diary of the Banished and Full Bloom.

    Updates coming

I want to apologize to the readers who are expecting updates to several of my stories. Real life comes first, as is the motto, so I'm having to put off my stories for a little bit. With all of that being said however, there are updates coming. After my finals next week, I will have some free time to start working on my stuff again.

Where am I going? What am I doing? · 1:44pm Oct 13th, 2019

So, the show is officially over. I've given my well wishes and thanked everyone. The ending did get to me. I wasn't fond of the epilogue, but I loved the 2 part finale.

Anyways, I wanted to give a heads up on what is going on.

#1: I ain't goin anywhere. I've abandoned a lot of things and regretted it. I'm not going to abandon MLPFIM, the fandom, etc..., and it comes down to one thing. This place feels right. I feel a sense of happiness and wonder when I write stories about these colorful equines. For me, it will be tough to write stories without fresh material driving me and giving me inspiration. That being said however, I need to grow my own wings, get my own horn, get my own strength and forge my own path.

#2: The story this blog post is being attached to isn't being stopped, canceled, put on hiatus, or anything. I want to write this story and make it as interesting as possible. Now, to give a heads up, I'll be pushing the newest update to Oct. 19th. The reason comes down to wanting to get on track for Saturday releases. The other reason comes down to me wanting to see the series finale to give a fresh set of ideas/perspective on how to write this story and where to take it. I am 100% glad I waited for the series finale. I'll be using a chunk of it for inspiration while taking very little, if any, from the epilogue episode.

#3: I will say thanks to all the readers, new and old with those who've come and gone, for fav'ing my stories, adding them to watch lists, commenting, etc.... If it weren't for the fans out there, this show would have been dead in the water at S1. In the end, I say here's to the official creators of MLPFIM -- and the unofficial fan-creators of MLPFIM -- for what they've accomplished.
