So I watched Joker (no direct spoilers, but I have included my reaction and opinion so spoilers in that sense).... · 7:15am Oct 5th, 2019
Basically I simultaneously want to run the hell away and was also fascinated, and also disturbed, and also horrified, and then rather scared... and then I talked to my friends who watched the movie with me for about two hours about morality, ethics, and just what we watched and now i'm good but still thinking about it at the back of my head.
Can't say I recommend watching it because it was that disturbing, but I also think it's an important movie to watch. If Joaquin Pheonix does not get an oscar or nomination I'm going to be pretty pissed because he was amazing.
Will post a spoilers review later, when the film isn't so fresh.
Yeah I heard he was pretty damn good in Joker. I haven't seen it, but I have caught up on how people are butthurt about the movie being R and how nobody can take their kids. Those comments make me laugh... and annoy the fuck out of me at the same time!
From what I've hear, it's an incredible movie but a terrible Joker movie. (If you can't figure out how that makes sense, consider that old saw about judging fish on their ability to climb trees)
