A Hard Decision was Made · 7:09pm Oct 1st, 2019
Hey, guys.
This week I realized that I am incredibly overwhelmed. I just had too much going on that I needed to do something about it. It am only one person so I know I can't do everything. So, I wrote down all of my projects and tasks like school, work, Tears and the audio book. There was 15 things on that list. So I categorized everthing into 3 Priorities, Priority 1 being the highest. In doing this, I knew I had to drop AT LEAST 2 things. Tears, the audio book, my RPG group and my beta reading where all in the Priority 3 list.
It was a really hard decision, I didn't want to cut anything but I was getting stressed so, in favor of my mental stability I decided on cutting 2...well...two and a half, things.
The first one I KNEW needed to go was the audio book. It's 59 chapters and I have barely finished 2 in the last year. It's just not a project that I think i could logically finish while starting my career in film and media. If any of YOU want to do it. I finished up to 17 scripts and 18 was almost done if you want to take it over.
The second, was my RPG group. with all the time differences of the players, it wasn't something I could up hold and me having to skip sessions due to such things wasn't fair to the players or the GM.
Lastly, I cut down my beta reading. I was helping several people and now I just don't have the time so I am sticking with doing it for BChunter and another friend that has shorter stories and I talk to most often.
Yeah, even this post wasn't easy to write BUT at least I'm not giving up on Tears. Tears will most likely be mostly written when I have breaks in the semester, holidays and vacations where I can try to stock pile.
Thanks for understanding.
Stay tune to learn about an AWESOME new project I'm working on for school!
I'm sad to see the audiobook go, but you're health most definitely comes first, and hey we still got one video of it that alone is pretty impressive, I look forward to reading more Tears.
Honestly even if you did cut tears I would have been fine with it YOU come first and in my opinion anyone that disagrees can either shove it or grow the fuck up.
I've waited years for stories to finish before, I can wait no problem. Your health needs to come first so focus on that.
I understand why you prioritize, I have had to put my writing projects on hold while I straighten put my health issues.
I’m glad you’re taking care of yourself. Choosing what to drop couldn’t have been easy, but your wellbeing is most important. I’m excited for you to be taking these steps toward your career too! :)
