Fleeting Light Book - Now Available!

Well, it took a bit longer than I wanted, but I finally finished updating the FIMFiction versions of the stories in the Fleeting Light series—and caught like three more errors in the printed version—so the book is now officially for sale!

    Everfree and Revisions

It's just under a week away and I cannot wait, so I figured a reminder post about Everfree Northwest would be a good idea.

Fleeting Light Print - Ready to Go

Finally got things locked in for my book. It's all ready for Everfree Northwest in August (and Lulu just afterwards).

The exterior cover and interior story art have also been shared on Twitter, so here's my post to share them with everyone here if you have not seen them.

    Covers, Both Inside and Out

I received the second proof of my printing of the Fleeting Light series, and besides some brightness issues that I'm getting tips on correcting, it turned out incredibly.

So, I think it's time to show off a commission I'm beyond ecstatic and pleased with how it turned out. Say goodbye to the old blandness:

Happy Spooktober · 3:49am Oct 1st, 2019

It's October 1st somewhere in the world, and you know what that means!

TIME TO GET SPOOKY

Progress on stuff I am hoping to get done and posted by the time this season of spooky comes to a close:

  • Pneuma - Close to final draft. Expect this to be posted either this Friday or next Friday. It's a one-shot, so don't expect anything extra from it.
  • Comparative Mythology - I'm still working to get the first daft of this completed. I hope to have that finished this weekend. For now, the stories within the story are in their first draft, and I just need to get the connective bits done. This will likely be five or six chapters, and I'm debating posting them all at once or on a day to day basis. Let me know if you all have some thoughts on that. Expect it maybe closer to the end of October. Chapter titles are:
  1. Shadow Walkers (May not be included)
  2. Große
  3. The Hollow Caverns
  4. The Tsasan
  5. The Kelpies of Charybdis
  6. Revulsion
  • Psychosomatic - I am working to try and get the outline of this completed. I think I have the themes that I want to explore down, but it's just deciding on what all will happen in the story itself. I hope to have it completed and up by Halloween night, but we'll see how that all turns out.

Fleeting Light's finale is still a ways off. I'm letting the ending stew a bit before I settle on it, but it's all written and been edited once, aside from the ending, so it will definitely be done in time to post come May, or maybe earlier if I want to. I just really want the posts to coincide with the dates like last time with Pray, Hope and Wander, but if that's too long a wait, I'll probably get impatient and start dropping it after it's done.

All throughout this spookiness, I have to also outline and write a story for FanOfMostEverything's Imposing Sovereigns II contest, which will be entirely out of my mostly horror wheelhouse, so we'll see how that all goes. I've got a good idea brewing, so I'm hopefully that it turns out well.

I've also got one or two writeoff related things I want to expand on, but those will have to wait until November or December. They're about anxiety, so more not spooky things!

Hope you all have a good, spooky, productive October, and I pray that all of this turns out well.
