The last research paper I worked on has published at last.

The process is REALLY slow. I finished all my work on this 3 years ago.

    https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.2316969121

This one uses a lot of my histology and in-situ hybridization with RNAscope results.

But no more science for me. Now I build houses and driveways... and rip them apart too! It's a sort of yin-yang thing I've got going here.

A comedic scene from a new Clouseua story I'm fiddling with...

I just came up with this, and imagining Peter Sellers delivering the line had me laughing for 5 minutes straight.

Clouseau, "For you see, the murderer was... the bullet!"

    Guy in room, "The bullet?"

Clouseau, "Of course, no one would suspect the bullet of firing itself!"

Woman in room, "But that... that's madness!"

Only the Pirate King could do it...

It's as good as possible. You cannot do such a goofy anime any better than this, and it's GREAT! I friggin LOVED it.

Last call for Bronycon items up on Ebay!

I'll be delisting all remaining MLP items Sept 1st to focus entirely on selling my huge stash of collectible magazines, which take up vastly more space than the MLP items. Everything here fits into a single flat box I can pick up with one hand. The magazines... weigh over 700 lbs total. Sooooo, kinda makes sense to deal with those ASAP!

This explains why the Dems have gone to such insane extremes to attack Trump for something they ALL have done hundreds of times, and which was long-established as a normal leverage tool... despite no direct evidence Trump actually threatened to withhold aid. Remember, the charge is that he IMPLIED the threat... which, my god, how the hell is someone's opinion on what was meant legal testimony? In that case, we could ALL be thrown in prison if we get on someone's bad side! Do you understand how horrible a precedent the left is establishing if they get away with this? There will be no law or justice anymore, for anyone, if rumor and innuendo are all that's needed to destroy a rival, while open admissions and direct statements are excused when one is on the proper side!

As you can see when you examine the paperwork, Biden wasn't alone in this manipulation of Ukraine's former leadership. Biden won't be the only one destroyed if Burisma is investigated again. A good many in the Obama administration will be forced to answer unpleasant questions. It could unmake the party.

And all of this because Biden just had to get his drug-addicted, failure son and his son's decrepit firm some illicit money. And afterward, another billion from the Chinese national bank... let's not forget THAT unusual transaction is floating about as well.

If trying to investigate such overt evidence of corruption is considered an 'impeachable offense'... my god, how can we ever expect anything but a banana republic afterward? Anyone who tries to report corruption by the left will be thrown into prison on rumor and false accusations, made up by anonymous witnesses who'll never be made to stand before a jury. Justice CANNOT exist under such circumstances.

Snowden was a whistleblower. He had DIRECT EVIDENCE, not hearsay. Yet he was NOT protected. His name was flung about everywhere and he had to flee or else he'd have been put into prison.

How can this mysterious CIA operative that NO ONE has seen or even has the name of be able to have 2nd-hand hearsay be held to a vastly higher standard than someone who had physical evidence of wrongdoing by US security agencies?

How deep does this fucking rabbit hole go? Okay, first it was the election, they hacked the election, dear God... oh, wait, quite a few polls shown to have tampered with the results to favor clinton by recounting the votes, in some places up to six times. Shit.... uh, Russia! Russia collusion! Shit, we have problems there... Ok, We interefered in Ukra... DAMN IT JOE, NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR ONE YOUR SENIOR MOMENTS!

It seems the democrats, as they stand, are having their metaphorical gooses cooked. And all the while...

We're also expected to listen to a child:ajbemused:

Considering how the USA has made several countries into Banana Republics for the benefit of very few at the expense of most of their population, I cannot help but feel that the USA turning into exactly that would be poetic justice.:trollestia:

Yes, the Democratic Party does seem remarkably determined to light itself on fire at the moment.
What on Earth are they going to do in the as far as I can see pretty likely event Trump wins again next year, I wonder.

(Still planning to write Gabbard in myself, but while I think she'd have a chance of beating Trump if the Democratic Party was behind her... er, yeah. Still hopeful for 2024, though.)

5129637 Gabbard is the ONLY one jumping on board the crazy train. She is clearly the most level-headed and rational of the lot.

So clearly, they have to keep her out of the debates at any cost!

5129597 I'm beginning to wonder if there actually is a whistleblower. We've seen neither hide nor hair of this mystery CIA person.

This isn't how whistleblowers are handled at all. Something's VERY fishy.

5129700
I assume there was a "not" that got typoed in that comment (not jumping on board the crazy train), but making that assumption, aye. She does seem to have made the next one, at least, but I'm still quite doubtful she'll be allowed to get the nomination whatever the voting landscape looks like.

Nevermind that constructive and sensible alternatives are likely the best way of beating Trump, oh, no, let's try for another big scandal and dubiously-substantiated criminal accusations, because those have worked so well against him in the past, right? Sure, he's lasted decades in business and nearly three years in the White House as a crude, blatantly lying swindler, but surely this time everyone will wake up and break out the pitchforks!

5129597
Not to mention "Hell yeah we'll take your guns" Beto.

Remember when politics weren't insane and people weren't being discriminated against for the color of their skin (lack of color more specifically) or what their religion is? Because the last time I can think of that being the case is around W Bush was in his first term...

5129767
The usual warning sign things are about to get crazy is when politicians on one side start declaring that communism wasn't so bad.

I'm kinda concerned that if the Democrats somehow DO manage to get Trump impeached it'll only radicalize his supporters around the idea that there was a Democrat conspiracy against him.

I mean there obviously is a conspiracy but so far it's been blowing up in their faces whenever people check the facts.

I mean, do they really want to be responsible for the birth of a 'right-wing ANTIFA'?

5129942 What we have here is the Swamp becoming frantic as they realize Trump DOES actually intend to expose their corrupt dealings, which will destroy them all.

If a civil war is what they're willing to risk to keep their wealth and power, then so be it. They should remember that they only number 1%.

5130274
Unfortunately that 1% bankrolls most of the system. It'll be a scary time as when it comes to deciding between 'respect for authority (and their paycheck)' and 'doing what is right and just' empirical evidence shows most people lean toward the former.

5130461 Well, if they trigger a market collapse with their nonsense, and that is a significant risk since they've done all they can to hurt Trump and predict market weakness (which has become a self-fulfilling prophecy in much of the world, indicating that Trump's policies have prevented the USA from following the rest of the world into a slump thus far)... fear has a way of backfiring on the ones who try to use it when they don't actually understand it.

If they toss Trump out and start pushing their radical insanity... then the markets globally collapse, not only with the population blame them, but all their money will have vanished.

This too, is part of The Plan. :trixieshiftright:
